Say goodbye to the plasma rifle?
So I've seen the Covenant Weaponry trailer.
Besides the horrible music the trailer has, I noticed there is no Plasma Rifle, which has been in every Halo game, so far.

The scarab was originally just a mining tool until the covenant converted it into a war machine, but that doesn't make it anymore different.
