Bungie Weekly Update
Very, very short Weekly Update today, but some good news about failed Halo 2 map downloads, at the very least.

Did the cache reset long ago to no avail. Come Monday, and Tuesday, everything remains the same; an installation error. Should of put them on the Marketplace for 360 owners. Dunno if that would have made a difference, but at least I wouldn't have to point a single finger at you guys. I could have donated that $4 to Darfur or something. Taco Bell sounds good too.

ok, I just tried that code, and nothing. I am so -blam!- pissed right now Bungie. Cuz tonight, Im nto going to be able to play MM. And whos fault is that? Get em working soon.... Or at least let us know wtf is going on!!

This is lame. STILL won't work. Seems like it works for MOST people and they feel the need to come celebrate in this forum, but most people isn't good enough bungie. People have paid real money(doesn't matter if it's 4 dollars or 1000 dollars) and received nothing in return. If we wanted to donate to your company we would have done so already.

It is tuesday afternoon here and I still cannot download the new maps. Bungie musst fix this before the reset:S

Bummer, was totally planning on tooling over the new maps with my buddies today... but oh well. Life goes on.

still no maps for me either...... guess that is the last of halo 2 matchmaking for me...... sucks

new maps need to be pulled from play list or fixed they should have been free.only three game mode without them .people pay money to play halo on xboxlive.Is there going to be the same problem with the beta?

Argh! I have been trying to download these maps since they first came out. I have paid my $4 and i get the "installation error, visit www.xbox.com for support" error message every time. I even tryed clearing the 360 cache as wanglerr has advised but that still didnt work. Its Monday and they still wont download. PLEASE bungie help me and everyone else with this problem out!

Still isn't working for me. They said Monday, yet I still can't download. Whatever, if I can't download the new maps by tomorrow morning, then w/e.

Now my disk isn't being read every once in a while, my wireless headset isn't working after charging over night and it won't light up or anything and I still can't download the maps. Blarg! This is the worst day of my life!

If u understand and did these directions it should work[/quote] This actually should help some people. What you are really doing is clearing the 360 cache. It is a good thing to do if you want to play LAN games with some friends, and don't like some of the updates to your games, which is fine because you can download them later. I don't know what exactly this has to do with the problem for getting the maps, but it wont do any harm. I did this so I could duplicate items in Oblivion, and it worked great! lol

This reminds me of a time when i put a dollar in the soda machine and it didnt give me a drink. I went to the manager of the store and told him I wanted my money back but he said that he did not own the soda machine and that i would have to fill out a form and mail it to the coca cola headquarters. Then in 5 to 6 business weeks they would send me back the money that i lost. I have a feeling thats how its gonna turn out for all of you people who cant download the maps. Bungie does not care about you guys as long as they get their money. They are probably just sitting back in their chairs reading this thinking to themselves......(SUCKERS).

Yes thats exactly what they told me to but left out a step. That didnt work but then the guy told me to do the credit card thing did it all over and it worked perfectly!!! I started to try and download them back on Tuesday a whole week ago. Thanks Wanglerr [Edited on 04.23.2007 7:33 PM PDT]

This is bull-blam!- I cant download these maps because of content failed see xbox.com and then I called 1800 formyxbox and you what they did absoultely nothing -blam!- bungie and there hype. Halo 3 is gonna suck if its anything like these updates!!!

well this sucks i paid my dues on tuesday hoping for new maps not i got the "installation failed please go to xbox.com" nothing i called the xbox line at 1800 4myxbox or somethin like that i also tried the memory y then xx LB RB xx no luck. sorta want the maps so i can play ranked tommorrow without Map failed to load pop ups and stuff........

lol they said they some have to wait till monday but i guess ill be waiting a little while longer cuz this is just ridiculous, i didnt pay 4 bucks to wait. i coulda bought something to pleasure myself with that 4 bucks.
