Clarifying the Storm Covenant's and Covenant's Belief System

So I understand that the Storm still hate the humans and the Covenant want to ally with the humans. And I also understand that the Storm are still in search of Forerunner artifacts. But does the Storm still believe in activating the Halos? Are they exactly like the old Covenant? And does the new Covenant still revere the Forerunners as gods?

  • Storm = fanatical zealots who believe the Forerunners are gods. Covenant = fanatical zealots who believe the Forerunners are gods. Main difference is that Jul 'Mdama, the leader of the Storm, doesn't believe the Forerunners are gods at all. The only reason he bothers to bring the Storm to Requiem is to gather Forerunner technology (and the Didact himself) to destroy humanity in revenge for killing his mate. In order to maintain his control of the Storm, he has to constantly lie and pretend he belives in gods. Prophet of Truth = belief in gods. Jul 'Mdama = Atheist lying to his minions in hopes of annihilating humanity. [Edited on 12.02.2012 5:50 PM PST]
