I am not going to link (it's been done enough already), but I believe that it has been confirmed that a particular domain on the Internet (with the word Destiny in its URL) is not owned by Bungie LLC but in fact by someone who is likely (well, at least until now) unaware of the Destiny/Bungie link.
So, if (and I am still open to evidence that shows the URL is Bungie-controlled, but I believe that it is not) we've been pounding that address, site and login with lame attempts to "get in", I think that we (as a community) may want to show the owner/host of that address that we're sorry for any inconvenience and/or perceived threat/attack that they may have felt due to our.... eagerness.
So, idea and suggestion time. What is the correct etiquette for a "sorry that we appeared to be raiding your server"?
Flowers?
A card?
A t-shirt?
A cool "I survived being Bungie.netted" logo for their front page?
Any ideas are welcome, what say you?
Posted by: Elem3nt 117 Tell him to hand over the domain name to Bungie...or else.
Or else, we... Make him a beautifully designed website named something extremely similar and give it to him with an email asking for the password to the original and apologizing for the inconvenience :)
