She created a physical version of her avatar.[/quote] I figured it was because at the last second, she transported them both into The Composer, so he would survive the blast. She could touch him because he was now digital like herself. And that would also explain how he survived a point blank nuclear blast.[/quote]the composer was destroyed, and MC is immune to it anyway. Not to mention if he was composed by cortana he would have come out an "abomination" when he was returned to organic form (that's what the librarian said happens when decomposing someone).
