Unlike most of you, I play Halo for Campaign. I don't care about being competitive, shooting my friends, or using a number to add weight to my opinion. I just like an enriching story, spectacular Music (no music in Matchmaking is there?) and shooting aliens. No I don't play it to say "I finished" or for Achievements. I play it because I enjoy it more.
In fact, what first got me into Halo was shooting Elites and "Covenant Dance" playing while I wound my way through the corridors of the Pillar Of Autumn.
I still enjoy multiplayer, matchmaking, and custom games with my buddies, so I'm really looking forward to using the new Forge and making my own custom games. However, matchmaking in Reach really disappointed me; that doesn't mean Campaign or Firefight will! Can't wait to ride the Pioneer and splatter some Brutes, Elites, Skirmies, and maybe we'll see some new enemies? We're getting a Campaign Demo at E3, which is mid June. (Thank Hylebos for counter)
Who else is stoked? Long live Campaign!

I only played through CE twice, but I loved it. I liked the second mission, where you have to hold out at a beam tower and wait for a Warthog to be dropped off. Trying to survive at that part was intense, especially on Heroic. There were like 4 different ways the enemies could pop up, and I had no medium range weapons... All I had was an AR and a Needler, with a handful of grenades. I adventually ran down the ramp and hid among the pipes, where there was a choke point and only two entrances - I was able to hold out in there, killing curious grunts and pushing back Elites, while beating down fierce Jackals. I did well until the last enemy, an Elite Major came running in and smacked me. I ran out and had a standoff among the trees on the slope, until the Pelican arrived. It was great, and it was one of the few times I actually had to make up tactics to survive in Halo. For Halo 2 - The whole game was beautiful, even for the limited graphics. It was dark, lonely and mysterious. I loved Quarantine Zone, Great Journey, and pretty much everything. The only thing that ruined my love for the game was the ability to speed run and get out of the maps easily. That's really what made me play the game even more though. One of my most memorable moments were the later Arbiter levels, where I had been rejected by the Brutes and had to take them out, and stop Halo from being activated. The music really set the atmosphere. Amazing game. ...Too lazy to type up the rest. But music is key, along with tactics and stuff. Yeah.
