Even if the next generation of consoles were unveiled at E3 this year Microsoft and Sony are hardly going to say "And they'll be in stores worldwide tomorrow, so stop playing all of your Xbox 360's and PS3's and buy these". Even if the new generation of consoles were released by the end of this year what you have to understand is that there will be many, many people who will still play the Xbox 360 and PS3.
