In the books the Spartans has unbelievably fast reaction times. They were able to occasionaly dodge bullets. What if in H2 you were able to dodge bullets when your adrenaline spiked. This would be bad ass.

..... No
-
I think it would add a nice touch
-
Yeeeeaaaa NO its halo not ut or max payne [Edited on 4/14/2004 10:25:44 AM]

Why would you need to dodge bullets anyways? In case the humans turned against MC? :D
-
Sorry, but bullet time is getting old. Halo did fine without it, and it doesn't fit in the Halo-atmosphere either. Absolutely a no!
-
Well there is a thing called the covenant, and the flood and you see they are trying to shoot the chief so that is why it would come in handy.

i agree there is really no need for bullet time and i think a major change in halo like that would mess up the gameplay that everyone loves. i just wish they had a speed option in general. i wish you could speed up the gameplay or slow it down, i find running across a large level is very dangerous when you cant hide behind everything and your forced to jump like you have just as much gravity as if you were on the moon. I have never seen any game when bullet time was good in multiplayer... Everyone just made it that everyone went into bullet time, not just the person that actually used it... [Edited on 4/14/2004 10:32:55 AM]

You'd mess up the game because everyone would think about Halo trying to copy the Matrix. Anyway's when would your adrenaline spike? Unless you connected the game to your nervous system (system that runs your nerves), it won't work.
-
Max Payne 2 anyone?
-
Ok i guess it would be -blam!-, it was just a thought.
-
It would probably get old...its already pretty easy to dodge bullets, and I'd get impatient and want to have the world move quickly again...bullet time always makes me sleepy...lol.
-
Technically bullet time is already in Halo that is why the game play can seem slow. Bungied slowed down the action to simulate the spartans response time.
-
you sir are plainly a fool, never ever spoil my beloved halo with your new fangled crappy bullet time.
-
Why are Halo fans so resistant to any change in the game? I have a feeling when Halo 2 comes out, it's not[/i[ going to be exactly like the original, and a lot of people are going to be thrown off! Maybe Halo 2 doesn't mean bullet time, but whatever happened to those extra strangth abilities the MC has?
-
uh.... you said that in the books he was able to dodge bullets. in the book the spartans were also able to survive a massivley huge drop from a speeding pelican and snipe elites out of their banshee with a single shot. if they made them as powerful in the game as they did in the books; the ultimate badass, the game would lack fun, and would ultimately be to easy.

In fact, if I remember correctly, there was only one left after all the fighting. Their "super powers" didn't save them in the book, so why would they save you i nthe game? I think not.
-
to be fair 4 spartans died and many critically hurt on that drop. And yes you cant tottaly follow the book.
-
I agree with mrsmiley. Dual weapons, sprinting, and more stealth combat are all new to Halo. This does have to change how you play only allow you more choices. Anything Bungie add is going to be awesome wether they give you the choice to use it or not.
-
I totally agree.
-
Ew, bullet time, that would just make the game feel so...generic for lack of a better word. i'm sure bungie could pull it off better than enter the matrix did, but still, ew.
-
Have you played Matrix? It blows. Adrenaline is -blam!- and you can already dodge plasmas pretty well.
-
bullet time=crap. IN the books needlers did alot more damage, they mentioned that they made them more powerful in halo 2. but if you want to follow the books exactly we should also be able to convert all shields to the bottom of our feet so we can shoot a rocket at our feet and have fun!!! (please note the sarcasm)
-
hes got that shield for a reason.. he aint no wimpy human, with one shot and his dead... oh no.. he has the sheild, the armour... mate he can take acouple of shots.. he dont need bullet time lol
