HBO Avatars?
How come Bungie.net dosn't use the random pictures in the corner of the webpage at [url=http://halo.bungie.org]HBO[/url] as avatars? They're small. And they're alot of them. It will help identfy individuals better.

Probably because of a small thing called copyright :) HBO is in no way part of Bungie studios :) -EDIT- Oh yeah and btw it's spelt avAtars [Edited on 9/4/2004 10:02:35 AM]

I believe some Bungie staff are members of HBO.

Some members of Bungie staff [i]post[/i] on HBO. If that makes them members, then I guess Psyched is right. And I guess that means that I'm a member too. :) None of the staff there are from Bungie, though. HBO is a fan site. It's just done with such care (and so many resources) that it looks professional, but every page has "We are not Bungie Studios!" at the bottom. Oh, and HBO forums won't have avatars because the guy who owns the board, screenname "Louis Wu", doesn't want them. I can't remember the reasons exactly, but at the time he gave them I thought "Oh, that makes sense." -- Steve's got a terrible memory for that kind of stuff.

Bungie can use any of them that come from a game they made, but fan-art avatars can't be used. But really, if you made a corner pic, and Bungie asked to use it, would you say no?

Don't lie Stosh, a part of you is dying with the old column, lol. I just want to see the new column now. I'm sick of waiting already. Usually when I get on B.net I will check my chapters first. I've still checked them even though I know that the column is under repair. It's driving me insane.
