It has been 25 years since the global outbreak of the K.E. 556 virus... 25 years sence I have seen my family. Breen has been taking good care of me ever sence. He is the father I never got to have. Life has been going good lately. We have a succesful township life going on here in the Los angelis mountian ruins, so far we have a population of 136 people. Breen is the town Doctor and I am his assistant. Someday I want to become a Doctor just like he was... Tomorrow is his birthday, he will be 79! I got the whole town to organize a suprise party for him! I hope he likes it.... After all. He saved us! State of emergency 2. DATE: 7/25/2035. Matthew Issacs. Happy birthday Breen!... The party went great, everyone in the town was their... Their was this girl their too. Her name is Kristin, she is the only girl in this town that is my age 27. She wondered up to me and we imediatly started talking. For some reason I sence a strong connection between us. It is like I have known her all my life!.. She is very cute. I think I like her. She invited me to come visit her sometimes. I am going to have to go wont I, HA!... It has been along time since I have seen this many smiles. Especially Breens', the virus is still in the back of their minds; but for now I am glad that they are happy! State of emergency 3. DATE: 12/28/2035. Matthew Issacs. I proposed!... This morning in church I walked to the alter and called Kristin up to me. Their I confessed my love for her and asked her to be my wife... This is the most happy day of my entire life!.... I wish my father were here for this. It is his birthday today. If he were alive he whould be 68. I miss my family so much! If only I were older back then. I chould have saved them!.... I know that they are watching me. I just want them to know that I love them and I am always thinking of them..... June 6th of next year is our wedding date. I cant wait, i'm so excited!... Well now I must go. I have a fiancee to take care of! State of emergency 4. DATE: 3/6/2036. Matthew Issacs. Their is a new radio station availiable now. AM 1067 The Warning is what the DJ calls it. He keeps talking about how our government is going to comeback and take over, all conspiricy and stuff. He even metioned that we have a president and his name is Albert Monroe.... The country is dead and so is our government. The virus killed it a long time ago; but, this man believes that it is still alive and is lurking among us, waiting to take it back.... The thing that disturbed me the most is that he said "i intercepted a radio broadcast from The President and it says that all survivors are declared hostal and are to be shot on sight until we find our target". I been wondering what he ment by that ever sence.... State of emergency 5. DATE: 4/18/2036. Matthew Issacs. The DJ on that radio station has realy got the town spooked now.... He is saying that the new "U.S. Military" has been mobilized and is sweeping the entire wasteland in search of somebody named Daniel Cushing.... How do they know if that man is still alive?... For all I know he is probably dead... Breen has been acting weird lately, as if he has heard that name before...... I asked him who it was.... He told me that Daniel Cushing is the man who made the origional discovery of the virus. My fathers former partner.... Why whould they want him?.. Breen told me he left the project long before it broke out in Texas. For reasons he did not know.... I guess he got a terrible feeling about the virus and decided to leave, maybe he had family problems. What ever the reason, they are looking for him...... I have a feeling that he is alive somewhere out their. I hope he is safe! State of emergency 6. DATE: 6/6/2036. Matthew Issacs. Today is my wedding day!... I should be excited, but for some reason I am worried... I feel something churning in my stomach. It crys out to me saying I am the one!... I am the one?... I need to get my mind off of this..... I am getting marryed! This is the most happy day in my life! My fiancee will soon be Kristin Breann Issacs... We get to start my family all over again... Just a short wile ago the radio came on again. It was not the one that has been saying all these things about the Military or Daniel Cushing....... It was the President! Or atleast he claimed to be.... He said something that has been stuck in our heads all day. " This is your President Albert Monroe... For the past 26 years we have been laying in dorment. Now we arise to find you; and we will find you! We know what you did and we want it. We will never stop hunting you. We will burn every village. Search every crack, and flush every rat... We will find you, and nothing will stand in our way"! State of emergency 7. DATE: 7/14/2036. Matthew Issacs. Its' true!.... They are out their!... They are looking for me! This morning the Military found our town. Everyone was either killed, or taken with them as slaves... The only ones who made it out were my wife and I... Breen was the first they went for. They were saying "where is the cure? Where is Issacs son"?... He never told them. All he said was "you will never find him because he is dead".... The officer that was asking him the questions knew he was lying...... They shot him. The only thing close I ever had to a father! Gone in the blink of an eye.... How are they still alive when the virus should have killed them? I dont understand how this is possible!...... Maybe thats why they need me. State if emergancy 8. DATE: 7/20/2036. Matthew Issacs. There following us... I can feel it running down my spine.... They want my blood. They need the cure.... My wife and I have made it as far as Washington. From their we have seen a massive army lurking the wastes to find us.... In the distance we have seen them burn down makeshift towns.... For now we are laying low in an old cave. I dont know how long we can stay here..... We did not bring much food. Their is only enough for 1 week at least....... Breen, you gave you"re life to protect me! I owe you a debt... I love you! State of Emergancy 9. DATE: 7/28/2036. Matthew Issacs. War.... War never changes. Breen told me that a long time ago..... Blood has always been spilt in the name of everything. From God, to justice, to simple necesity... We must fight to survive.... Today I found some weapons in an old gun shop... Both of them were old M4's. One of them had a message scratched in it. It said "Floods banhammer".... Later I found out it used to belong to an old soldier... I know because I found his body in the upstairs room. On his jacket said his name. LaBorde, Captian. In his hands was a note. It said "Fight... Fight for all you love. Never give up your faith. A soldier never backs down, never stops doing what needs to be done.... If you are reading this it means I have died protecting which that is most dear to me. You must do the same my friend."....... After reading that I noticed something on the other side of the bed..... It was his family. His wife and two children. He died to protect them.... From that point on I have decided to fight. I will rise againsed the growing threat sweaping the wastes for me....... I will drive them back into the hole from which they came! State of emergency 10. DATE: 8/1/2036. Matthew Issacs. It is done...... I am now a killer. This morning I came across 3 slodiers walking around the outskirts of the old town Hampshire... They were wearing some sort of radiation suit with gas masks... I thought they were waiting for me their.... Untill they brought out some women that kept with them.... They beat her, made her do horrible things. I had to help her!... I raised my rifle and I fired. Over and over again. My finger whould not leave the trigger. Even after my entire clip was spent... I cant get them off of my mind. I never killed before..... My wife tells me "if I had not done so she whould probably be dead now".... The lady did not stay with us... She ran away right after the shooting was over. I hope she is ok. State of Emergency 11. DATE: 8/3/2036. Matthew Issacs. I need to find survivors. I need them to fight!.. If they do not then they will just die like everyone else. I have heard rumors that around 40 people are held up in an old news building on the U.S. Canadian border. That is where I am heading....... My wife is starting to feel sick she says. She has thrown up at least 5 times today she says. I gave her some Anti-acid pills I found back in Hampshire but it is still bad she says.... I did not know what it was untill I noticed something on her neck........ A big red spot. I know I have seen this somewhere before! State of Emergency 12. DATE: 8/4/2036. Matthew Issacs. No!... It cant be! All this time and it is back..... The Virus has returned!... I know because Breen told me what happens when a person is infected with it... My own wife. Infected by this monster! NO! NO NO NO NOOO!!!! If I remember correctly she has only 2 days. Forget the Army and the President now. I must care for my wife! I will never give up on her! Even if I die trying I am never going to stop caring for her!... I love her so much!.... Also their is something that she is not telling me. Vomiting was never an effect of the virus...... This monster has been laying in dorment for all these years! Why now!? WHY HER!!!!
