Halo PC and Halo PC : CE Servers down.
According to [url=http://games.slashdot.org/story/12/12/07/2250252/gamespys-new-owners-begin-disabling-multiplayer-without-warning?utm_source=slashdot&utm_medium=twitter]this article[/url], GameSpy (the server provider for Halo PC and Halo PC : CE) has shut down many servers. At the moment, this appears to include the servers for Halo on the PC. While this is not official, this appears to be the case. While it is worrying, it eases me to know they shut down the demo version. Reason being they must have made a conscience decision to not block the list for both base Combat Evolved and Custom Edition. It certainly has me worried about the near future (Within a year or so) but I feel like we're going to be safe for a while. Even then, someone else in the community will have a backup master server. We also hopefully have enough time to prepare the community for the switch.
