Why does eveyone want a pokemon game that....
encompasses all of the reigons? Thats ridiculous, putting all the games into one big one? i just dont get it.

I suppose people are enchanted by the thought of games like Skyrim which have a lot of content but not a lot of focus.

I fear a large-world Pokemon game would be similar, unless it's just a very, very long linear-progression style game (but who would want that?)

I think the only way it would work would be if you travel between the regions throughout the story, as opposed to you just beating one then moving onto the next.

Like, maybe start in Johto, then you get a call saying that Team Galactic is over causing trouble in Sinnoh. After dealing with them you explore for a bit, then back to Johto, etc.

Because if you do it right, it would be awesome. My idea is 1. Let you pick your starting region which decides your starter choice 2. Play the game like any other 3. When you get the option to go to a new region choose between > Keep your team and all gym leaders will be higher level or > Box all your pokemon but 1 and start from scratch by capturing wild pokemon (Including the chance of that regions starter) and weak gym leaders. and that's just the start of it.
