Adolf Hitler was a great leader who made great decisions for Germany
The Germans were suffering due to the French who imposed severe limitations on German power on their military, economy, and territory. So Hitler took care of that by invading the stupid cowards and defeating them in weeks. Then he killed off the unfit populace in Germany so the gene pool wouldn't be contaminated and that the inefficient work force wouldn't interfere with the efficient one. Then he invaded the Soviets because he knew communism was wrong and that it should be obliterated and that war was inevitable because he needed living space for the growing German people. Hitler did the Germans proud and we should be proud of him. The Third Reich was the greatest Reich of Germany! Sieg heil! 14/88

I disagree with op, but do agree with title. Hitler was a great leader(not counting the holocaust) and he did truthfully help Germany out of bad times. [Edited on 12.10.2012 9:00 AM PST]

I know this is a troll post But I'll just say that Hitler may have been a good leader, but what he did was absolutely horrific and true evil. So nobody with the slightest bit of respect for humanity should be proud of him.

This reminds me of when my friend had a German exchange student. We were studying Germany between 1933-1963 in History and my friend had his exchange student in the class. When we began discussing the subject from our British (and therefore negative) point of view of WWII for Germany, the exchange student says "Ze N@zis did some good tings for ze economy and people had a gut standard ov living", to which my teacher replied "The 6 million dead Jews kind of overshadows that for me". That shut him up, but it was pretty awkward.

Despite your obvious trolling, your initial statement has some validity. He rebuilt a shattered country and turned it into one of the European superpowers. Although he did all of it with the intention to wipe out entire races and take over Europe for German 'Lebensraum'

Many Estonians and eastern bloc countries welcomed the Germans with open arms as a liberators from the great evil stalinists when the Germans invaded Russia. Hitler was also critical for Finland's survival against the evil USSR.

As a general rule, if you lead your country into a war and proceed to lose it because you're so blinded by your own fanatical ideology you don't realise attacking, say, Russia with winter approaching would be a massive mistake, you're a terrible leader and have done your country a great disservice.

He was a pretty good leader but I could never forgive him for trying to exterminate an entire group of people. And he shouldn't have spent so much time needlessly bombing cities, the civilians weren't the enemies so why would he waste so much time killing them and not the people with the guns advancing on your country?
