Guessing you would have mag boots, or the ring has gravity - well something is keeping you attached ... and that force is strong enough to resist the force you excert when walking. ([i]ie the force of taking a step doesnt send you flying off[/i]) So kinda guess you would step off the top surface and onto the side ... like walking off the [i]edge of the world[/i]. Be a great game addition, games like Assassins Creed have a lot of these pointless but fun tasks built into the game ... gives an extra dimension to the game.

But lets 'pretend' they aren't there, then what do you think would happen? would a force field hold you on the ring? or would some forerunner technology just prevent you from fallng? Or what if you just fell straight off the edge? I think that would be a good easter egg, or would have been at least. [Edited on 12.09.2012 2:51 PM PST]
12/9/2012 4:52:27 PM PermalinkThis belongs in the Universe forum, but on topic, you can't actually walk off the edge of a Halo ring, as there are enormous walls on the edges, which I'm guessing are used to keep in the atmosphere of the ring. [Edited on 12.09.2012 8:52 AM PST]
