So I've made friends with a girl I hardly talked to up until these past few weeks, and I started to grow feelings for her as we got to be better friends, but then I found out she has a boyfriend. But I don't want to give up I feel like she's into me, she loves the fact that I play guitar, can't get enough of my hair, and overall loves to hear me talk about music. She hardly talks about her boyfriend if at all, but I still don't see any ending point for those two. Do you guys think it's still worth it to keep on going after her?

God not another girl thread. OT: Just keep an eye on her. If she splits with him, go after her. Don't make her cheat on him or you will be the biggest asshat on the planet. That also means don't flirt with her or even "go after" her. [Edited on 12.05.2012 2:29 PM PST]

You do realize that all you're going to get is "lolfriendzoned", "toast-envelope", stick it in the pooper" etc do you? You don't actually expect meaningful advice right? EDIT: guess I was wrong *shrugs* [Edited on 12.05.2012 2:37 PM PST]

keep on going

It sounds like she's interested, but she may just want you as a friend. Just be cool, and make your move when you get the opportunity.

Honestly, you know she's in a relationship with someone already. I'm going to assume you're high school age. So, with that being said, be responsible and leave it be. Wait until she breaks up with him, or vice versa and then go ahead and pursue. Don't be a dick.

Goodness, all these guys going after girls they have no chance with, so sad. Aim where you can hit, brah

Just because she doesn't talk about the guy or has a flirtatious personality doesn't mean she's in to you. Hell, she might be. But wait for her to make that decision herself. Don't be that guy who tries to start breaking people up.

Keep going at it, get really close to her then if/when they break up get straight in there. Obviously don't be insensitive if/when they break up.
-
She has a boyfriend, so please dont ruin their lives.

Read this poem I wrote about girls... This is the last time the paper meets the pen. No more wasting my breath on some no good heartless chick. I've wasted too much time spitting out these rhymes it feel like suicide. The mere thought of you running through my mind is slowly killing me inside. Girl you walked all over me like the dirt beneath your feet. If you believe in true love why don't you believe in me? Your loves a prison I'm trapped inside these walls concrete. But I've served my time. I'm breaking out out of my life sentence, complete.

But this is one of those times where you more or less have to stow your feelings for her and play it safe. If you really like her then be her friend and wait for them to break up. If they don't, then hey, be happy for her. How well do you know her? Is it a crush or a friendship-type thing?

And I guess it's more of a friendship type of thing, I talk to her fairly regularly and I'm not antisocial around her at all.

I see. Well, this may not be what you want to hear but the most you can do is be her friend until something happens. Especially if you want a long-term relationship for her then you should be aiming for what's best for her. Or you can also keep your eyes open for someone else, you know? You'd be surprised what can happen.
