Personally I am hoping that Bungie's new game is going to be an RPG and not just another generic first-person shooter. I am also hoping that there will be different factions that you can join and what choices you make in one faction could severly change the others.

First Person Shooter, but shooting is far from what the game is all about. It should be oriented on exploring and finding out about the new universe. It wouldn't exactly be an RPG, but the journey throughout the game may be a different experience for different players.

I'm hoping for Baby's First EVE Online and/or Fallout 3 in space. [Edited on 11.29.2012 10:14 AM PST]

I'm hoping they take what they learned from creating the Halo universe and create a universe that's even more fun and interesting to build upon and expand. I think 343 doesn't care enough about consistency, they kind of just do things if they think its cool without really providing good explanations.

I'm really expecting to hear amazing music from Martin O'Donnell and Paul McCartney.

We're talking about Bungie, and their new game. Anyway, I have reasonable expectations. I expect a rich universe, but for them not to explore its depths much. I don't think they tell compelling stories, but instead leave stuff scattered around for gamers to piece together and discover how rich the universe truly is.

Personally I loved the Halo universe it was my favorite universe to read about like I'd go onto Halopedia just to read about all the cool detailed aspects and get really into it but some things in Halo 4 just don't make a lot of sense like how did MC's pod move from where it was in the Legendary Ending? I'm just hoping Bungie can capture what made the Halo universe so interesting, and then go beyond that and fill in the holes that the universe may have had. [Edited on 11.29.2012 10:38 AM PST]

I hope for an Action/RPG. 3rd person I hope. With a cast of Heroes instead of just one Super Hero. That way the story and game are driven by more than just a Master Chief.

I am hoping that this game is a fps with features similar to halo, i dont mean another halo just with new enemies and characters i mean just the customisation, map editor (if its a online comepetitive game) and a theater. Or I would be just as happy if it was a game similar to star wars battlefront
