Where Be the Names
Bungie Community,
How did you get the idea for your usernames? I would like to see everyone's motivation for having cool and sporadic names.

cat man not too hard then 6 is my favorite number because catman was taken on Xbox live. When I came here I just used catman6 because that was my gamertag.

Forum on, Nader121[/quote] My IRL Nickname is Sigh (I guess I sigh too much, dunno), and knowing a little bit about the Greek Alphabet I chose Xi which rhymes if you didn't know. Xi by itself isn't long enough so I added Tau. I just like the Greek Alphabet I guess.

One day, the stars were aligned. The 7th circle of hell was on gas mark 5, I was alone in a crop circle drinking deionized water mixed with protease. I looked up and saw my username written across the cosmos, it had been decided.

I used to go by Qasala once. There was a time that I played Neopets in middle school, and I stole the name from one of Neotopia's Desert Cities. Eventually I became rather self conscious about the username. It sounded very cool, and it looked very cool, but anybody trying to figure out where it came from could instantly trace it back to Neopets, which was really lame. During a car ride down south on Washington Interstate 5 I was trying to think of a new username to replace Qasala. I wanted it to sound and look cool, and I either wanted it to be original or obscure enough that anybody looking up what it meant wouldn't think I was lame. A sign passed by that said "Hylebos Creek". Stole it on the spot, and I've been running with it ever since.

When I first created my gamertag, I had no idea what a gamertag was (I was like 12 years old and didn't understand the concept of a username). I just put my real name because I really didn't care what my gamertag was, I just wanted to be able to play Halo 2 online as quickly as possible. When I made my B.net account my gamertag was still Joe Campbell. I had no idea I'd end up regretting that gamertag in later years.

At age 9, I made an email account. I was in to the American Civil War, so I chose this as my email address. Then later I got an Xbox. The account I wanted was already taken, and Civilwargeeky was a suggestion since it was the email I registered with. It just went from there. Now pretty much every account for everything I've ever done is civilwargeeky. As you can guess it's not too common.

Octavius is my name in my Latin class (everyone in the class has a Latin name). Peregrine Falcons are one of my favorite species of birds. Put the two together, and there you go.

I got it from my gamertag, and then changed it slightly.

My user name is my gamertag. I was derping around on the Fallout wiki one day. I seen the words "berserk"(spelt it wrong in tag) and "commando." I thought they sounded good together so I changed my GT to that.
