It seems at times that I'll be banned for creating one thread (yes it did violate the rules, but barely) but at others I'll go off scott free for another which clearly violates the rules and one in which the mods actually post in! Granted, that happens late at night and everyone's drunk but still!
Anyways, discuss how mods really don't care.
-
Because they are.
-
Because they hate themselves and have to take their anger out on the small guy.
Posted by: Nocbl2 It seems at times that I'll be banned for creating one thread (yes it did violate the rules, but barely) Anyways, discuss how mods really don't care.
Define, "but barely" how does one "barely" get banned? On topics, it's like any system of authority, sometimes you get caught, sometimes you don't. My advice, follow the rules.
-
Someone is getting mad because they got banned for violating the rules? Imagine that. The mods can't see every thread that goes on here, you were just one of the ones they caught. How about not posting something that is on the line of violating the rules?
Posted by: bobcast I roll some dice, odd you're banned, even you're fine.
You have weighted dice when it comes to me, because I always get banned.
Posted by: Achilles1108 This thread is biased.
So is ur mom.

This thread is biased.
-
Posted by: M4L1K jr Also, there is no such thing as moderator bias. Usually two factors play a vital role in the verdict. These two factors are previous ban history and the mod's understanding or interpretation of the rules.
Previous ban history probably plays the biggest role here, and that's exactly the way it should be. Repeat offenders shouldn't benefit from a simple warning or the like when their history shows that they clearly know better. First timers can get off easy, even people who only have a few minor infractions in their past can cathcn a break. For the repeat offenders, though, it (should) go straight to "ban hammer to the face." [Edited on 11.26.2012 5:59 AM PST]

They are people too. Everyone is biased about something, it is called an opinion. Maybe every now and then they see something that is against the rules, but does not hurt anyone so they let it slide. Or they see something that is against the rules, does not hurt anything, but has great potential to, so they swing the hammer. [Edited on 11.26.2012 3:28 AM PST]

The mods' were created for the sole purpose of unleashing the hell fire that is contained within them upon our poor souls. They are biased beings that walk the earth searching for happy forum posters, trying to extinguish the light from their souls.

Sometimes I speed and I don't get a ticket. Are the officers biased or am I just lucky?

I was just about to say that this thread feels like a pony ploy. The kid cries and cries that he or she wants a pony. The kid doesn't really want a pony. The kid just wants attention. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the attention the kid gets is usually negative. ~Delta
Posted by: YodasCurd Everyone knows that Foman hates ponies
This however is untrue.
I'm not so sure that I care. What was it that we're supposed to be caring about? Our personal bias/inconsistency/diversity? If that's the subject, then I can say that I don't care.
I believe he is trying to assert that we do not care about the well being of the site and the community. If you are correct, then I agree with you.

Because they're human, like you, but not me.

Seems to me that you answered your own question. You admitted it broke the rules. "just a little" counts as much as a lot. You still broke the rules. As for late at night, the mods are drunk (which you apparently already know). Their's a reason why their is a distinction between day time and night time flood. If you want ANOTHER reason, their is a new study out showing a high correlation between being a person and not being perfect. If you correlate this with info from last months discovery that mods are indeed people, you come to the startling conclusion that mods are not perfect via the fact they are people. Plus, you can't blame them as a whole, they are individuals acting on their own.
-
Didn't we just do this yesterday?
-
Its true, everytime someone breaks the rules they ban them. When do they ever ban the people who don't break the rules?!?!?
-
If you are violating the rules, then you deserve a warning or a ban. When you joined this site, you agreed to follow the rules. The mods are only executing their jobs. Also, there is no such thing as moderator bias. Usually two factors play a vital role in the verdict. These two factors are previous ban history and the mod's understanding or interpretation of the rules. When making threads, you should account for the possibility of offending.

I feel like the mods don't want to give me any breaks, and that's understandable. I've broken the same rules over and over, and I've come to an agreement with a certain ninja that saved me once, but my next infraction will result in a permanent ban.
