I'm incredibly sad Greg Bear's Forerunner Saga draws to a close next year, it's by far the best thing to happen to the Halo universe IMO. Can't wait to see how everything links together and sets up the next Halo.

I won't be buying it. The Forerunner Trilogy bored me to tears.

As always with Bear's work I'll be looking forward to this. Given how the past and present stories are beginning to converge post Halo 4, he might do other things ahead. I like the previous books' covers (in the trilogy) better. Landscapes offer more mystery. [Edited on 11.23.2012 10:38 AM PST]
Posted by: CoRaMo I like the previous books' covers (in the trilogy) better. Landscapes offer more mystery.
This. Also I hope the book will be more like Cryptum than Primordium - it had me bored to tears.
-
Make another book on the mating of forerunners? Anyone? Guess not -_-
-
The cover looks alright. I liked the landscapes better, personally. Still, I can't wait for it to come out. I've really enjoyed the Forerunner Saga.
-
Even though I had absolutely no clue what they were, I liked the previous styles of cover. That said, I like this one too. Didact (I think) looks evil on it.
-
I thought the cover had already been revealed? O_o I could have sworn I'd already seen someone link it a while ago...and the cover was rather different, showed the Cryptum in Halo 4 on it flying around some sort space station or something....odd...
-
I have to make it an objective to get all those Halo books and read them someday.
-
A horrible cover, but as I read books on Kindle it doesn't really matter to me either way.

A new one? What happened to the other one?
-
Posted by: hadlermaster A new one? What happened to the other one?
The story had to be re-written as 343 went a different way with the plot for the game. Which is leaving us all entirely confused.

If you read the forerunner novels and then played halo 4 it is self explanatory.
-
I've been meaning to read this trilogy, is it worth the time and money?
-
Indeed. There really aren't and words to describe it other than "enriching". Though don't expect to read them once and get everything. I have read both novels several times each as well as most others.
-
The halo books are amazing and r good for learning the story

Cryptum and primordium were both good books, but you have to absorb every word to understand what is happening, it is not light reading in any sense. Primordium needed more action, it is really hard to read at times, as almost 200 pages of the book are nothing but aimless wandering. For that one I would recommend googling the plot if you aren't much of a reader. Cryptum is definitely worth reading though.
I sympathize but discourage this because there is a lot of information in that novel which can't be found without reading the book. You can't just read halopedian for this (or any novel in general).

YOU HAVE TO WRITE IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!" Mr.Bear: *cries*
