New Halo 4 Armor variation revealed? Video + Explanation inside

http://youtu.be/fcGKBUFD9qU So far, from what I've gathered from other fans on the 343i site, it's closest to the venator armor though not the same, stirring questions as to why it's there and the possibilities behind it. Enjoy.

 • that would be dumb to have armor on the disc that cant be unlocked but they were going to unlock for you at a later time.... I don't think this thing will ever be used elsewhere

 • I'm liking the hopes of it being a freshly shown helmet that's new before it comes out.

Its clearly mash of the two.
Sorry man, definitely not; I have a lot of proof against that idea.

It's one helmet.
Posted by: funkbrotha10 Look like a rendering bug. Most likely its just a regular helmet that was for some reason rendered at a lower LOD
Nope, I can understand where you're coming from though, with the textures being oddly included in weird positions, as well as missing parts of the spartan's body.
Which is why it seems like a LOD bug. What evidence do you have that it isn't a LOD bug?
As I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean by LOD bug, what proof do you have that it is what you believe it is?
LOD = Level of detail. Long story short, items that are farther away are rendered with lower detail, to cut down on computational requirements while rendering objects that are closer to you in full detail. For some reason the game's engine thought that the object was further away from the camera than it really was, so it was bumped down on the priority list, and thus rendered at a lower fidelity.
That's certainly a possibility, though I doubt it because it was rendered quite sharply.

 • Reminds me of the MIA helmets in Halo: Reach. You can actualy see the fabled "hoax" helmet in Halo: reach beta glitches.

 • Its probably Venator except unrendered (hence the absence of the reverse deltas on the visor).

 • Legit. Arm armor is available in game, though not the helmet.

 •
Posted by: BigBadBull94 It looks like 2 helmets smushed together. This was in Reach. Nothing new.
Though understandable, this is not on H4. As such, it's a completely different glitch, though it does go through the armory and chooses the pieces randomly. [Edited on 11.19.2012 8:08 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: ShadowHalo94
Posted by: Br1gadierGeneraI
Posted by: ShadowHalo94 It looks like just a glitch where two helmets were "fused" together. I don't think it's new armor.
They weren't fused, it isn't possible via this method, which has/can be recreated, so that's an assumption. This is new armor, as the only close armor to it is Venator, and it wouldn't even classify as a subset of the armor. This is after talking to people not only on here, but 343i's site and se7ensins.
The helmet doesn't look natural. The visor and the frame don't quite fit together.
Hence unfinished armor. I've seen the effects of armor that melds together, and that's not one of them. It's not on H4 as it is in Reach. The thing is, it goes through cycles of armor in game that is complete; though it does not use combinations of two or more in one. i.e. you don't see two obviously different body/arm/leg pieces melded together.
