The Didact (MASSIVE SPOILERS)... Probably been asked a lot....
I know for a fact this has probably been asked many times, so you can lock if you want, but I was just wondering if the Didact is dead, or if anyone even knows.

He's not dead because in Spartan Ops, the Prometheans are still lit up orange. This means that they are still under the Didact's control. If he was truly dead, the Prometheans should've reverted back to their blue defensive status.

The halo nation wiki says he hit the energy beam and was killed, not the main beam of the composer, but who knows what will happen. Also I don't think he's "an ancient evil" misguided or biased would be more appropriate lol!

No confirmation either way but I think it's safe to say he's not dead. He is immune to the Composer, so falling through the beam wouldn't harm him. As far as I can tell he fell out of the ship into space, in which case he's alive. Cryptum confirms that Forerunner armour can survive space as well as atmospheric re-entry.
