"Destiny... or Fate?"

Let me start this off by saying, Halo was and still is an amazing game series. Halo includes almost everything an FPS needs to be legendary. Despite that, it became more, somewhat of a god or deity. Making people do all sorts of wild things just because they love the game that much. Regardless of what it is or will become, Halo is the standard for Sci-Fi FPS's and with that we should expect the same quality if not better than that of Halo:Reach. With all of that out of the way, let me get to my main topic. Bungie's new game: Destiny, Tiger, whatever, will be far better than anything we have ever seen. Not just because I'm a huge fan but because of their history as a developer. Currently, I am playing through the Marathon Trilogy. Although I haven't progressed very far through the first game, I'm having a ton of fun and the simplicity is very eloquently accompanied by multiple-choice scenarios much like Halo has come to be. Simply, Marathon was a huge influence on Halo:CE and by that logic Halo's successor should be spectacular if not, legen- wait for it.... -dary! =) Gotta love Barney... Back on topic, I believe Bungie will yet again amaze us all and revolutionize console gaming, and maybe even PC gaming! Now, to the good stuff... What will Destiny be like? MMO? FPS? RTS? We may not know as of right now, but what we can do is be good detectives and monitor Bungie's movements like an assassin in the shadows. My opinion? Destiny will be a perfect combination of RPG & FPS elements that has an even more immense aspect of gaming that few gamers are skilled in or even are familiar with.... World Design. Now, it is a bit extreme but let's look at the evidence. They have Trademarked a program called Grognok which looks to me like a level designer. If this is true, then I believe they are planning on releasing it to the public as a PC app or incorporating it into Destiny. Either way, I know for a fact that they are creating their own engine which should allow them to do almost anything. I think Bungie was really impressed by the fans creations in Forge. So impressed, in fact, that they want the fans to create their own worlds and allow players to visit each others' worlds much like Little Big Planet but with a faster pace. My speculations aside, I highly doubt they are going to make another World of Warcraft. I don't think they are that desperate that they have to make a game that requires a monthly payment to play. Halo: Reach made 200Mil on launch day. With that, Bungie isn't a greedy company because it simply doesn't need to be and once their 10 year contract is up with Activison they should have the efficient provisions to take over the world finally... To conclude...(Finally, Right?) I believe whatever they create will be the biggest thing we have seen since... Well, forever! The only thing I ask from them right now is: Keep it as secret as possible... The buildup is the most important piece for a video game. If you don't make the fans want it enough you'll end up with a series called Call of Duty. I'd just prefer more clues rather than facts. A simple reply would suffice ;). Although, silence is still good enough for me. For the good of us all Bungie, do what you love, and love what you do. And WE shall follow... See you starside. -ApocalypseKJ [Edited on 11.05.2012 9:00 PM PST]
