If 4 is like CE on this...

With a new chapter about to unfold, I have to think back. If 4 has the same "It's up to you" alone-ness of CE's Chief and Cortana, the magic might return. What do you need to get that old familiar feeling back ?

Reach wasn't unpleasant like I remembered. The clean UI made the experience even better. The most important thing to remember is you have to be very patient and careful. Don't try to rush. Don't worry if your marines end up dying. They infinitely spawn here. And whatever you do, do not let Elites board your Wraith! I recommend shooting off the Wraith's back wings but I didn't do it because I turned on Tilt skull (to make the Wraith last longer) which makes shooting have no effect. Nonetheless, I was able to get the blockade material without much difficulty. Like I said, it's a matter of precision. You're driving a huge slow ass monster that can easily splatter and send -blam!- flying. To be careful with this vehicle takes a lot of effort. I'll add some finishing touches to this setup using my saved checkpoint and upload it to my file share later. :P [Edited on 01.08.2013 11:17 AM PST]

Oops I mean forest level), then you had all the help from Infinity. Is it just me or do the campaign levels seem linear? That QTE at the end was very anti-climatic. I hope that Bungie won't do anything stupid like that in Destiny.[/quote]Honestly, the third person shots in the vidocs and trailers made it out to be better than it actually is. Requiem is quite dull. You walk out of the cave and see that Forerunner tech in the distant than you turn and come across a bunch of hideous rocks. Campaign NEEDS Theater to be truly wonderful. I feel trapped. :'( Edit: you dare attribute dullness to my likeness?! :o Btw I still have that request of yours in mind. It might take me a while to get it on film since I don't got a capture device atm. [Edited on 01.06.2013 6:43 AM PST]

  • This is CE Elite AI: Elite Stealth: careful movement, rare firing Elite Major: very dodgy, short accurate bursts Elite Zealot: very fast movement, long accurate bursts, berserking, jumping Elite Spec Ops: very fast movement, short accurate bursts, grenade throwing, never berserking, took cover when it's shield wasn't even low The Elites are distinct. This is Halo 2 Elite AI: Elite Major: the basis for pretty much every Elite rank. Often stands in place firing, seeks cover when shield is gone Elite Ultra: based on Major, but can pull out a sword, style = berserking Elite Ranger: based on Major, style = flying and jumping Elite Zealot: based on Major, but always spawns with a sword, style = can't use vehicles, seek cover sooner than other Elites Elite Spec Ops: based on Major, style = throwing grenades Elite Honor Guard: reskinned Major Elite Councilor: reskinned Ultra Elite Stealth: based on Elite Minor, has incredibly fast shield recharge rate, style = sneaky The Elites are distinguished by a few differences. This is H4 AI: Elite: every single one of them spams grenades, can use the same guns, they're all pretty much reskins. Besides Rangers, only Zealots are unique because they use an AA Knight: only distinguished by a single unique ability (besides AAs) There's really no variety. [Edited on 12.25.2012 4:05 PM PST]

Today I wanted to try out a different setup for the 8 snipers easter egg on Requiem. But I screwed up. The lack of checkpoints makes setup work in vain. What's worse is that the crates you get from doing this easter egg are 1) glitched and 2) contain standard variety guns that you find later in the level. IWHYBD beats this 20x in customization and variety. 8 Zealot snipers is just a cheap challenge... oh wait hardly a challenge. 28 Ultras were more scarier. [Edited on 12.25.2012 12:32 PM PST]
