Can anything beat the satisfaction of no scoping CE Elites? Within minutes of trying to do it for the first time in this game, I was getting all sorts of kills, not to mention thrills...
Edit: with the sniper rifle dagnabbit!

Nothing could beat my satisfaction of finding out that one shot of the magnum could kill a Hunter when I was young

You can kill a hunter with a single needle shot. :o
Posted by: moktook You can kill a hunter with a single needle shot. :o
Lies! The Needler has the weakest projectile in the game, which is a good thing because you can use Grunts as bombs! :o The Needler in newer games is much less fun to use because of how quickly it kills. You never get to watch the enemy response and even if that does happen, it deteriorates into common behavior (berserking, rushing).

I could no scope something fierce with the shotgun.
Posted by: chickenlittle I could no scope something fierce with the shotgun.
Yes, my no-scoping skillz for the AR were amazing, if I do say so myself.

I was never good at no-scoping. :(

Stahp, stahp! I forgot to include sniper rifle in the title and op, k?

Only noobs use the sniper. Real men charge with only assault rifles. Like we did on the Silent Cartographer beach assault. Whilst saving all the Marines. On Legendary.

I've assassinated every Elite in the facility on Silent Cartographer. Legendary. I've led a Zealot to the end of Two Betrayals while being swarmed by Flood and Covies. Legendary. I've done the twin bridges megabattle with no sniper. Normal. [Edited on 12.19.2012 9:25 PM PST]

I don't have that kind of free time or patience.

No scoping in Halo 1 was so much more satisfying than it is in the newer Halos. I think it was a lot tougher to lead your shot in Halo CE.

Legendary T&R start to finish without sniper rifle. The first battle is the hardest. After that it's not too bad. Belly of the Beast can be a hassle. But, BotB is a hassle with any weapon combo. For all the haters of the AR out there- it is surprising effective on legendary if you work within it's capabilities.

chicken is right. Rambo mode is the only way to CE. On Legendary. Anything else is show tunes and flower composition.

I was dying so many times in Spartan Ops until I finally bought plasma pistol and active camo. Then it was just easy. The game plays itself. It's only a pain because close-mid range combat is suicide without proper gear.

We need to do that again sometime. It was epic.

But (as a guy playing alone), infinite run + active cammo versus sentry tourette and shielding are truly different experiences. Have loaded out accordingly. The rule of activate something and run the blam away still applies, but, the loadouts really do matter. (smiley face)

There was no kick that a sniper would give making you feel like a spartan. There was also less bulletmagnetism compared to the newer(especially Halo 2) Halo's.

It made it much harder to stop Brutes in H3 from deploying their equipment.
