It'd be nice to see some bonuses. "Boni," I guess would be the right term. Like firefight or something equivocal. CEA was for the hardcorest of the hard core nerds. And as much as we loved it, a decade old game at retail cost might want to tack something else on. (Bungie exclusive behind-the-scenes...an hour with Staten...Grunt out-takes...the crucifixion of the Brian Poshein grunt...something...)

The advantages (managing skull profiles, managing game saves, unlocking levels, modding) afforded to me by Halo 2 Vista far outweigh any console version. But if it comes out on the Marketplace or as an Anniversary edition, I might get it since I can't sword fly in Vista due to the stupid TU that should have only affected MP and since Halo 2 for Xbox is so frigging hard for me to acquire (from my favorite retailers and online stores) these days. I"ll wait until after I try Halo 4 to see which was better. I still think Halo 2 was the best in the series so far, in terms of campaign and having a good time on multiplayer with friends.

I completely agree with you and I had the exact same experience. I want nothing more than to have H2 back on XBL. Hands down the greatest experience of my entire life. It was the same for me, get home from High School at 3pm and literally play till midnight non-stop. And I can't even begin to count the all-nighters I would pull on the weekends. The community in H2 was very tight and I met so many randoms that to this day remain on my freinds list. What made H2 great for me was the simplicity. I loved the focus on movement and teamwork and power weapons. H3 was great but it never reached that peak as H2 did. Then Reach really did nothing for me, I do NOT like the jet packs, the armor lock, etc. Granted they are all good in their own way, H2 was the best. I loved the glitches in H2 also. Working together with friends to try and figure out how that one guy on that one level was floating up in the air was always a quest in its own way. IF they do bring it back, I want new graphics and that is IT. No armor abilities just straight H2 the way it was. Heck even no updated graphics I'd be ok with, I just want to play it online again!!

In fact it was just the opposite. I enjoyed it more than any other game I play online today.

If Halo 2 and 3 were getting updates to the playlists and new maps I doubt they would ever die. At least not until a new generation. My opinion on Halo 2 vs Halo 4 can't be made at this point. I can't see Halo 4 being as good, but maybe it will surprise us. To say it's not going to be replaced is just blind nostalgia. Cod 2, Cod 4, and Halo 3 are all very superior games to Halo 2.
