What would kind of features would you like in halo 2 anniversary?

For me, everything that was in CEA, only I want the multiplayer to be halo 2's. It would be cool to have more firefight maps, too.

    Basically a graphical upgrade and live co-op. And IF 343 want, bonus content or "extra" campaign maps, possibly a game version of Halo Uprising but keep it separate from the main campaign so in the "extras" section or something.

  • Most of you will probably cry foul, but I wouldn't mind seeing some of the glitches corrected. I know, I know, the BxR and such were a big part of the game, but I feel that it would work just fine wihout those too. I'd also like to see the 1-50 ranking system make a return. Basically a carbon copy of H2's multiplayer.

However, there is no way 343i is going to bring back a standalone Halo 2 multiplayer. The reason CEA maps were for Reach was because they didn't want to divide the fanbase. I also kind of doubt there will be a H2A. OT: I would like more maps. I prefer the CE remakes over maps like Lockout and Turf. I know people will disagree, but I'm not a fan of maps with asymetrical layouts and giant open areas in the middle. BTW I hate Headlong and wish they went with Terminal for CEA. I agree on the maps to a point; I didn't like CE's maps either though. I think map design is one of Halo's biggest weaknesses in general.

I think map design is one of Halo's biggest weaknesses in general.[/quote] The super bounces were game breaking, but I felt the BR glitches were similar to combos in fighting games. Some took more skill than others, but they helped make the BR a dominant weapon in any situation. If we are going to nitpick balance we would have to look at shotgun and sniper which have significant host advantages. The shotgun is worthless off host and the sniper can hit a person about a full avatar away from the actual player on host. However, I'm fine with both. I guess the best solution would be to have a function in custom games to allow glitches to be on and off. I actually like Halo 2 a lot, but I am forced to hate it because people from this community bash Halo 3. That used to be the case at least, but since users like TotallyMassive left I've found it easier to be more open to this community. [Edited on 10.19.2012 1:24 PM PDT]

  • For the game to be purely a graphically updated port with no changes, and with it's own original stand-alone multiplayer and not a Halo 4/5/6 add-on like we saw with Halo 1 and Reach Anniversary multiplayer. Oh, one can dream... but we all know that won't ever happen. Oh well. I'll be happy to play the Campaign on Xbox 360 with achievements, to be honest.

  • like 5 new map packs maybe one or two more things to dual wield sword lasting longer and assault rifle <- LOL. maybe a new thing like spartan ops. But i would HATE it if they made multi-player in reach again like CEA i would want its own multiplayer. Maybe camo lasting longer but i dont like inf. camo glitch <- you just walk through level on legendary and say you did it legit and have proof it sucks. Harder lengendary cause i completed legendary on reach ODST CEA CE 3 and i havnt played halo 2 or wars...

  • Online co-op, a skull option in the campaign menu, graphics switch like in CE Anniversary, theater mode, bring back every map, try and add in the hidden/unfinished parts of the game that were scraped and left in the game, and for the hell of it why not add in the e3 demo of Halo 2.

  • If there's no MP, why even make it? Loved 2's story but the actual campaign, or much less the campaigns of Halo 3, ODST, or Reach, cannot compare to the memorable stories from Halo: CE.

  • I don't know, Striker... "The Flood" was a shocking title screen...changed everything in the game, especially for us old schoolers who weren't even sure how long the game would last. (New system and everything...) Was...(pardon the term,) epic. But "A Whisper in the storm"... I can say that was equally shocking. Yes, there I said it. Playing [u]as[/u] Covenant was every bit as surprising as the Flood at first.
