You guys are so -blam!- biased it's not even funny.
You guys think COD is milked for being an yearly release for the past 5 or so years? Lets take a look at Halo:
2007: Halo 3
2008: Halo Wars
2009: Halo 3 ODST
2010: Halo Reach
2011: Halo CEA
2012: Halo 4
It's more or less the same yearly release as COD. And at least COD changes the setting from modern to Cold War then to future. The entire -blam!- Halo series takes place within the same year except Halo Wars.
Halo 3 - finish the fight
Halo 4, 5, 6 - wat
And it would be fine if they just make a completely new setting with new enemies; but NO, what do they do? Bring back the exact same -blam!- enemies as before that you supposedly already defeated. Absolute lack of creativity. Even the Prometheans are really just new ground forms of Sentinel.
And what new gameplay features do they add? Call of Duty style customization. Obviously they want the same target audience as COD, which is successful because it appeals to people of all ages. What else? Flood mode, which is really Infection but with new skins but otherwise no new gameplay features. Spartan Ops - Spec Ops? That pretty much sums up the new features in Halo 4.
Graphically, Halo 4 is just the same as Halo Reach. They are too busy pumping out games to -blam!- update the graphics and physics engine. Oh, and they put a bunch of ugly ass monsters in Halo 4 like the Spartan flood and the -blam!- -blam!- sniper rifle and the obese Pelican. Absolutely atrocious.
But if you can't see through all your fanboyism... oh well, go ahead and waste your money on this never ending story cycle. They will make a Halo 50 one day because of inbreds like you.

Don't forget Microsoft registered the IP's Halo 7, 8, and 9.

So the point of this thread is to bash everyone who says COD is milked and yet say Halo is not milked Well you see that's your opinion man [Edited on 10.06.2012 3:18 AM PDT]

There's been 8 CoD Games this generation.

Every single Halo game has been exceptional. Why would you complain that quality games come out too soon?

OP wants a hot topic.

Lol you serious? You do know the most of the Halo games that came out after 2007 were made by multiple studios/multiple groups of person in a studio.
Posted by: omg a bannana Don't forget Microsoft registered the IP's Halo 7, 8, and 9.
That will take a while to get to that. Considering that Halo 4 did take about 4 years to make. And they haven't really started on Halo 5 yet. [Edited on 10.06.2012 3:29 AM PDT]
Posted by: omg a bannana
Posted by: banj0 Every single Halo game has been exceptional.
ODST and Reach
Really? ODST has had the best campaign to date and Reach has the best multiplayer/Forge, but that's my opinion.

It should have ended with ODST. Halo Reach was crap and Halo 4 is beginning a new trilogy when they ended the last one fine. Its unnecessary.

Exploration wasn't rewarded. Reach's multiplayer was severely flawed, they've practically fixed it now. But too little too late. Reach customs/forge were okay.

Yeah, it's definitely up there with Call of Duty. Where there's money to be made, there's games to be made. I just can't wait for Halo 2 Anniversary which will hopefully launch between Halo 4 and 5. That's right, I'm supporting the milking. Because I heart vidya gaems!

CoD changes producers every year, between Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

I hope nobody honestly thinks Halo was going to end with Halo 3. Anybody with a brain knows a billion dollar franchise with a name that sells and a bigger universe than almost all other game franchises will not end after 3 games. Play what you like and stop giving a -blam!- what other people play. [Edited on 10.06.2012 3:35 AM PDT]

Now it's likely going to end up with games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. All 3 franchises should've ended with their 3rd game.
