What Android apps does the flood recomend?

So flood, I finally got myself a smart phone, and I was wondering what apps the flood would recommend that are useful and fun. I have to say, I love having pandora on my phone, especially since I don't have a stereo in my car at the moment, and I found a pretty cool app that tracks my spending and gives me suggestions on how to save to money. Anything else I should check out? Preferably free apps, but if it's worth it I'm willing to open up my wallet.

 • I've been hearing about these launchers, but I don't quite understand what they're meant for. Can anyone explain that?

 • The ones here replace your homescreen. GO Laucnher is a good one, easy on your battery and clutter free.
Posted by: TheDedOne I've been hearing about these launchers, but I don't quite understand what they're meant for. Can anyone explain that?
Can anyone explain that?
GO Launcher is a free homescreen modifier app that lets you customize the phone layout with options that are normally not available. You basically make your phone exactly how you want it.

 •
Posted by: OneDeadCaveMan iOS: Android edition.
Mother of god, not even if hell freezes over. Anyway, back on topic. OP, you should examine Rhapsody. That service blows all others out of the water. I pay less than ten cents per song, since I put 1-2 albums a month on my phone. Since my sister and brother share the same subscription, that amount of money my family spends on digital music is less than a nickel a song. ChompSMS or something similar. More customization is more better. MX player. A good task manager. Any emulator if you want to play games. Also, get AVG antivirus. Watch -blam!- safely. ALSO, if you have anyone who is REALLY good with tech, have them help you root your phone and put CyanogenMod on it, assuming your device is compatible. Beware, that may void your warranty. All my previous phones have just been, well, phones. lol I think an antivirus app will be my next download. [Edited on 10.04.2012 5:53 PM PDT]
