I think that it would be really neat if threads would update automatically to the top of the wall if someone posts in it, so we don't have to constantly F5 every 3 seconds or so. Kind of like the Facebook wall.
What do you think?
Yay or nay?

Hints of a social network to strengthen the bonds of the community.
Posted by: Frapican Have you seen how busy the forums can get when Bungie.net isn't dark?! I mean, when Halo Reach was still a beta, there would be someone posting in a thread every milisecond! I'm sure that such a feature like the one you're talking about would make it nearly impossible to post when it gets busy like that.
Yeah the day Reach was announced would have made this feature explode

Besides, it would technically be New New New New New Hawtness.
I was told that every time Bungie.next is referred to as Any sort of Hawtness, Achronos kills a kitten :'(
Posted by: dazarobbo Togglable, but absolutely yes.
Damn you for beating me to this...It'd be like youtube...You know...Without the "LIKEZ MA VIDZZZZZZ PLSS!!!!!" everywhere. [Edited on 09.24.2012 12:11 PM PDT]

Yes, please! To refresh a page on my laptop I have to press FN+F5, life would be a lot easier if the page just refreshed automatically. #FirstWorldProblems
Posted by: Telec Those of us who have slow trigger fingers would find ourselves clicking on the wrong thread quite a lot. I say nay.
"Come here you little thread! *Misses* Dammit! Where are you? There you are! *Updates* NO!"

I can see that being a pain when the new game comes out. Could you imagine any Halo forums in their hayday with that feature? Boxes would be going everywhere
-
I seem to remember Deajay saying that every time you say "new hawtness" arachnos murders a kitten.
-
Nah, but I would like to see automatically updating threads, 4chan plugin style. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, the page updates with new posts at the bottom every number of seconds.

We should if people want to, but I don't want it.

Togglable, but absolutely yes.
Posted by: Telec Those of us who have slow trigger fingers would find ourselves clicking on the wrong thread quite a lot. I say nay.
This is the main problem, I don't mind pressing f5 or the refresh button on my browser to reload the threads.
Posted by: BLAIR223 Call me old fashioned or tasteless, but I like things the way they are.
You're old fashioned, and tasteless. OT: I want "Gallery Love." Update and display Gallery Pics in a side banner of sorts. [Edited on 09.22.2012 7:29 PM PDT]

It would make high traffic forums such as the thread impossible to read, and cause havoc on lower powered computers.

Nooooooooooooooo. We should let Facebook be facebook, and bungie.net be bungie.net.
