Halo 2 for original Xbox won't work!

Hey guys, so i bought halo 2 for xbox a while back, and put it in my Xbox 360 slim to play it. It came up with an error message, so i did some research and found out I needed a hard drive. So i go and order a hard drive, 250 gigs, put it in, and nothing. It sitll comes up with and error message saying "The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again." It's a disk, so i never downloaded anything. I know there is nothing wrong with the disk, and I dont have any other original xbox games to test. Can ANYBODY help me? Please?

  • Mine has a similar problem. I must download a TU from Live and if I don't it won't play. The TU pops up every single time I want to play it, and if I'm not connected to live, it won't let me play. It's odd and I haven't found any thing on the net about it, but good luck and major bumpage to you good sir.

  • How do you know there isn't anything wrong with the disk?

  • Have you tried clearing your xbox cache?

  • Yes I have tried clearing the cache and still nothing. I know there's nothing wrong with the disk in terms of scraches and dirt but not in terms of the technological aspect of the disk. I will try to get the disk to play on some other Xbox 360 console as soon as I can.

  • It's the disk. Clean it. If that doesn't work buy a new one. If problems continue then it could be your Xbox.
