If Open Sauce develops enough...

Could we potentially have things like a friends list, messaging system, favorite servers, and other things? I know Xfire has all of that, but I think it would be cool if we could get all of that in-game. (especially considering the fact Xfire won't work with OS) Also, perhaps something similar to Forge in more recent Halos would be possible. Of course, i would like it to be CONSIDERABLY more advanced, but still simple enough for most people to get decent use out of it. Hell, I would donate $$$ to the OS team if they thought they could pull this off. What are you guys' opinion on this? [Edited on 07.03.2012 3:27 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: I RaveN I Steam.
If you add Custom Edition to Steam it only does one thing Xfire did which is in game chat. Many people use Xfire for keeping track of their favorite servers, keeping up with amount of time played and joining a friend's game which you can't do through simply adding the game to your library.

Why bother wasting development time on stuff we already have access to?

(especially considering the fact Xfire won't work with OS)
ummmmm...
A better idea would be to fix compatibility, not spend goodness knows how much time cloning a service only for it to never be used. Edit: Apparently you can use Xfire with OS if you rename xfire.exe to something else and make sure the ingame overlay is disabled. [Edited on 07.03.2012 6:31 PM PDT]
