Steam pirates for android

It would be great if Bungie put steam pirates on Android smart phones.

 • Is it not on there already. Or is it only on the I-Pad?

 • The games already runs on Android, Windows & MAC. Videos and a running blurb show this on both the developers own site plus as an example off the site detailing the engine they use. Bungie wanted a phased release, was the same thing with the iPad release. Can only assume that bungie thought this would generate another round of interest in the game on each release. Only problem is that bungie seem to have forgotten about the game. As [cough] 'Publisher' they are very quiet. Not a single press release in December (lead up to the xmas buy/holiday). Not exactly a lot of activity on this site either. Game reseller maybe, publisher - maybe not.

 • Yeah, the engine developer even taunts bungie to release it on other platforms. There is a lot of chatter within the engines users as to why bungie are holding back ... doesnt make sense. Its also cant be great for Hairbrained Schemes having their title restricted. Only rational reason ... bungie have moved on and forgot to close the aerospace doors. Not new titles, no 'news update' posts, locked threads ... what else could it be?!?

 • GLO, does Aerospace only publishing one title bother you that much? I skim over these forums and you are definitely the most active user over here, despite your view on Bungie and crimson.

I skim over these forums and you are definitely the most active user over here, despite your view on Bungie and crimson.
Thank you, someones got to keep the forum moving :) More annoy than bother, bungie are the kings of hype and aerospace (or 'waste-of-space') is another example. Over two years ago aerospace was launched with a wave of hype, and sycophantic self congratulations as to how they would save the poor indie developers. Over two years on and the only title is one produced by an ex business partnet of the aerospace head. Given the number of mobile apps published weekly on the Apple store alone why cant bungie find another 'poor developer' to help?? And the the OP's hope for CSB on Andriod. Why not put some of those 'huge pool of bungie resources' to use, the engine already supports Android, how much would it cost for a bit of testing? What grade would you give a software publisher that only published a single title in over 2 years?

 • It's been a little over 7 months since they even revealed Bungie Aerospace to the public, GLO, I don't understand from where your 2-year figure is coming. Counting the time before doesn't make sense, because then you could say, "BUNGIE AEROSPACE HASN'T RELEASED MORE THAN ONE GAME IN THE LAST 50 YEARS". Still, I'm disappointed that I can't yet support Bungie Aerospace by buying Crimson on Android. I was hoping it would have seen a release by now.
Posted by: HiredN00bs Still, I'm disappointed that I can't yet support Bungie Aerospace by buying Crimson on Android. The moai engine runs on Android, and PC and Mac ... even a nice video and feedback from Jordan Weisman (the developers owner) praising the engine and show the game running on these platforms. And yet - does the publisher release? Does the publisher support the Indi startup? Support bungie?!? What about supporting he developer?

I don't understand how it's relevant to my question or why it's a failure. My question was in regard to this statement:
Posted by: GLO Is Back Over two years ago aerospace was launched with a wave of hype, and sycophantic self congratulations as to how they would save the poor indie developers. ... What grade would you give a software publisher that only published a single title in over 2 years?
Unless I'm missing something here, Aerospace was revealed to the public on June 30, 2011. which means you exaggerated about 7 and a half months to 2 years.

 •
Posted by: HiredN00bs You're going to have to explain this to me. I don't understand how it's relevant to my question or why it's a failure. My question was in regard to this statement:
Was giving you the possible excuse of confusing Crimson with Aerospace. (And the 'failure' is in relation to the Crimson trademark application)
Posted by: HiredN00bs Unless I'm missing something here, Aerospace was revealed to the public on June 30, 2011. which means you exaggerated about 7 and a half months to 2 years.
Yes you are missing something. Lets look at the Aerospace trademark. Follow the link and scroll down to the line which reads; "Filing Date: 2010-03-04" (yep, March 4th, 2010). That is 711 days ago, or 19 days short of 2 years. You may want to use a calculator, but 19 days is NOT "7 and a half months" - lol. Also kinda funny is how the tademark office is confused with what bungie have been doing, status has been changed to "A second request for extension of time to file a Statement of Use" ... guess bngie have not figured out what it is all about either - lol. (if bungies confused, fair enough for you to be as well) [edit: to get back OT] bungie did tweet it would be available on Android, and Even on your link they promise that (4th paragraph) "set to launch this summer on iOS and Android devices". So sure OP, bungie promised Android, why should they lie? [Edited on 02.13.2012 5:58 AM PST]

 • So is it coming out for Andriod or not? The Aerospace twitter has been quiet for ages and Bungie haven't said anything either. I only ask this as I've finally gotten a smart phone and would love to give the game a try.

 • probably not unfortunately, as you've all noticed Crimson Steam Pirates turned out to be a failure so i don't see much good in an android version. might as well make the app free.

 •
Posted by: path1k probably not unfortunately, as you've all noticed Crimson Steam Pirates turned out to be a failure so i don't see much good in an android version. might as well make the app free.
But bungie promised !!! As I posted above, bungie tweeted, and posted it as a news item, so it MUST be here soon!!! Plus all those resources and cash bungie promised to make available through aerospace. Its been two years, only one title, that one huge injection of goodies for CSP alone.

 • There is hope yet ... given bngies obvious staggered platform release master plan. Perhaps if we wait long enough we will also see a brand new crimson title (rather than the release of the same title over-and-over-again).
