MASS EFFECT 1 is hard...(you're all sick people)
I'm playing just for the story on casual and its pretty dang hard for casual.. Is ME1 harder than ME2? I can just goof around on casual in ME2. I was just surprised when I get one hit k.o.'d on the second mission of the game on casual.
Do I suck(obviously) or is this just a hard game.

Although ME1 is harder than 2, you are doing something wrong if you have problems on casual.

ME1 on Casual pretty much plays itself... ME2 New Game+ level 30 on Casual is harder than ME1 on Hardcore.

I've not played ME2 (waiting for a cheap all DLC included version), but I recall ME1 being tough on normal or casual or whatever normal is called. I remember dying a few times in the first level. Dying alot against what might have been the first boss at some rocky place. Getting killed several times while trying to kill a sandworm thing in the buggy and a shootout in a nightclub was also annoying. And those were just the places I died at multiple times. I must have died once almost everywhere fighting everything.

You get used to it, just fire in bursts, always look around to see if there's something you can scavenge to get better weapons and armor, and always save frequently.

I really don't mean any offense when I say this, but I didn't find any part of the casual playthrough hard. Any reason why it's hard? Trying not to be offensive here but can you aim? Are you able to directly shoot an enemy without the reticule going all over the place? You kind of have to just aim in the general area in the first place so I'm not sure what your problem is. Maybe you are under-leveled? Or just don't have the right equipment?

I concur. ME1 has a sharper learning curve when compared to ME2. The latter game does have a better tutorial.

I beat the game on the hardest difficulty. I really didn't think it was hard.
