All the Spartans died in the Fourth book, and Bruce is the name of the Spartan you play as in the Halo game. They don't say anything about Bruce because it keeps up the Bungie code of secrecy, but most Hardcore fans have known about Bruce, Wort and the gang for Decades. We're already on the the Plasma Minigun and the part of the game where you throw explosive Grunts at the army of Engineers. But you already knew about that surely, all you had to do was get the Golden Sentinal Beam and shoot it for 20 seconds at Sgt. Tookas.

THEY NEVER CALL THE MC BY THE NAME "JOHN" ever! He died before Halo 1, the books are not part of the game's story. Johnson doesnt have radiation in the game and there are no spartans in the game. THERE IS NO CORRELATION. THE CHIEF IS CALLED "BRUCE" in the GAME. This is the big secret bungie tried to cover up but PEOPLE WHO SAW THE EGG IN THE TRAILER (see sig) CRACKED IT AND FIGURED IT OUT! Or when you played as Bruce and had to use the Needler Shotty to kill 50 different kinds of Moo Cows? Good times...
