If you could have lunch with any Bungie Employee, who would it be, and why?

If you could have lunch with any Bungie Employee, who would it be, and why? I would want to have lunch with The Webmaster - I've never seen a drunken man in a gorilla costume, but I imagine it would be a hoot.

 •
Posted by: ObbiQuiet You're the type of person who sits and analyzes star trek, arent you?
No, that's me. I'd go with Rbt. McLees; see if I can get ahold of his complete History of the Nar.

 • is Jen Taylor considered a Bungie employee? because that's be hard for me to pass up. if not, then i'd settle with meeting Mr. David Dunn. no idea who he is, or what he does. but judging from his pic in the "Meet the Team" section, he is extremely talented.

 •
Posted by: Sigma I'd have to go with ling-ling. Poor dog got its head severed off. I'm sure it could use a good trip to a buffet.
Depending on "where" you eat, Ling-Ling's head might be ON the buffet! Mmmmmmm, Ling-Ling! That was really in poor taste, wasn't it? [Edited on 8/8/2004 6:33:49 PM]

I'm leaning toward Frankie though because he seems like a fun guy to chat with.
Sure, if you enjoy the 3rd grade subject matter.
Ah yeah. Now that's more on my level! I was going to say Achronos or Sketch. Sketch is the community guy right? Anyways. I was thinking All American Slam at Denny's while discussing how everybody in my barracks would beat everybody at Bungie in a LAN game. I'm in the army by the way. Then we could resort to using insults like dumbface and chickenfart.

 • I'd want to enjoy Canadian delicacies with Nathan Walpole in the lunch hour (it doesn't have to be just an hour, does it?). He can provide Real Canadian Bacon in exchange for Real Norwegian Waffles, and I will confront him with the obvious fact that the Brutes are really a bunch of little Nathans running around a virtual Earth trying to kill Master Chief. He admitted as much in "The Making of Halo 2" video! Also, I'd lunch with him because my wife thinks it's cute he put a little of himself in the Brute. Hehe. Hey, you'd try and score points with the wife if you were me, too!

 • Well... I hade breakfast with Sketch a while back at Louis Wu's house in CT. Meh... it was ok. He had morning breath. (=P) I would definitly want to go to lunch, with amazing, the charming, the beautiful (and oh so perky!) Bungie princess, ALTA! woot! (can't believe no one said that!)

 • Marty does seem to be 'quite the genius'. Does anyone know who the Gui7arist was on the piece called 'Rock Anthem to Saving the World'? I wanted to know did Marty write that for him/her or was it some great 'improv'. (Can someone get the Elder?!) [Edited on 8/7/2004 9:35:42 PM]

 •
Posted by: JAY132 Seriously though, Marty hands down.
Yup. As a musician and as someone who loves and respects music, marty is amazing. I loved his work with Myst 2, Myth, and Halo. I'd like to know exactly how much of a hand he had with Oni (vs. Power of Seven). Amazing stuff. Go Marty!

 • Chris Butcher, simply because I could annoy him by asking if he's ever seen any Hobbits in New Zealand. Or maybe Chris Carney...if I get him drunk enough, maybe I can convince him to put a infinate life glitch on Water Works that only I would know about. Or possibly Jason Jones. He seems cool. Plus I might be able get him to promise me a seat of power in Bungie's New World Order.

 • Jason Jones or one of the mods here (even if they're not employees)... that's my first thought... then I think harder... Doug Zartman!!! And following his request, instead of asking for the flaming bob death I'd ask to see his freaky eyes... and laugh at his lack of genetalia!!! *NOTE: IF YOU ARE NOT A MARATHON PLAYER, YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND. I AM NOT BAGGING HIM, HE BROUGHT IT UPON HIMSELF!* :-)

 •
Posted by: The Rip Saw You're as close to being a Bungie employee as I am to being a mod.
*Note to self... add The Rip Saw to the personal list of "people to suck up to" Disclaimer: I try not to really suck up to anyone. I am however, more than willing to thank people who have provided me with something of value. For example; thanking Bungie for their brilliant games, as well as this forum. If my praise and thanks approach sucking up, so be it.

 •
Posted by: Yoozel I'd have to go with Achronos, just to bask in his power.
Me too. Just to watch him bask in my power! Lol. Yeah right. He'd be the most interesting to talk to for sure. I don't get into all that computer stuff as much as I should, but I'll bet the bulk of his knowlege is totally "useless"* anyways, so we'd have one thing in common. *"Useless" knowlege is usefull on shows like Jeopardy! Don't ever tell someone knowlege is useless. [Edited on 8/6/2004 1:04:38 AM]
