Maybe because other popular games were release around the same time frame and reach had much greater competition then it did in 2007. Maybe because many fans were butthurt halo reach was not halo 3.5 or halo 2.5 and actually tried something new and took a risk. Why did the reach DLC fail to sell? Again like in the first question more popular games there are means more sells go to them and not all to reach. And seeing as certain affinity made both map packs for reach I would see that 343 is not a great as you claim them because their map pack would not be selling either.
