So, I was reading about Xbox 2 Specs
Granted, MS delayed the Duce for a 'fiscal year', whatever that entails, but I found the confirmed specs (albeit some are still unconfirmed):
[*] 3 3.5 ghz IBM 64 bit processors.
All I need to say is, this sucker is going to fly. Think the computing power of your PC times 10-15. Easily.
[*] At least a 500 mhz ATI graphics chip
Can you say real-time rendered CGI?
[*] 10/100 Ethernet (obviously, although I was hoping for gigabit).
Thos are the confirmed, undecided so far (as I've gathered):
[*] The harddrive
Many, many, many developers are begging MS to put this in, especially for downloaded content.
[*] USB ports
Whoa! That's a throw back. But it would make an obvious choice for someone like Logitech to make some kind of cheap super controller. Booya.
[*] Backwards compatability.
Arg, I pray they put this in, only because it would be nice to play Halo 2 on the Xbox 2 if I get it.

Well they don't lose much, plus they make a lot of money on the licensing etc etc etc. Same way they do with Windows... Although, I really want longhorn to be done before 2005.

I mean PS2 built it's own card and it is bad. The reason why Microsoft loses money for all the x-box it sells is because of Nvidia. They refuted to lower their prices.

yeah, they gotta have a hardrive, it's so sweet, and backwards compatability is a must, especially if microsoft want xbox buyers to buy xbox2. otherwise it would be such a rip off, i would be very angry if u couldnt play xbox games on it. i will stop ranting now.

Well that's not why, for some odd reason MS is paying $50 for a 8 gig harddrive, who knows why. But, as for the MS graphics card? Nah, MS doesn't do graphics cards :). But ATI has been the announced guy for years.

I dont know. X-box 2 looks like it is going to have a graphic card made by microsoft. Or not.The thing that worries me is the Memory. I heard some things about xb2 not having a fixed hard drive since people "do things to it"- hack it.
