****** The REAL Reason The Ranks Aren't Finished ********
It's genius actually.
Bungie let's the ranks cap out at Lt. Colonel Grade 3 where they know whether boosted or legit, enough people will 'reach' (lol) within the 1st month or so.
....Meanwhile, you continue to play, working intentionally or unintentionally towards your Commendations gaining cR that boosts you to nowhere since no "next rank" exits.
This explains why they dont care if you Oni Boost or Gruntpocalypse for 40 hours, because all those credits accumulate sure, but don't go to ranking you up.
Once the ranks are finished and added, you'll now have maxed most of the easy Commendations and the only way to rank up further will be to play online.
Gruntpocalypse only really gives around 300cr for completion, it's the commendations that give you the most credits. So that strategy wont be effective after your commendations are maxed, neither will Credit boosting in Campaign, or ANY current strategy.

I highly doubt being a Democrat has anything to do with whining about a game or not having a life which is impossible since they are alive.... yeah I'm a smart ass but anyways back on topic the level cap doesn't bother me I don't play enough to get the 20mil cR even though I can get mainly 700-1000 or so cR per game but then again I rarely go negative It's like a flying rhino it never happens. The cr system is flawed somewhat, and I aim to find out HOW!

idk why you all waste ur time in talking about this game. DUH its not perfect. it has its flaws but also has alot of cool perks. and depedning on what you like, you may either like it or hate it. even halo CE was flawed. cause well there was no online play. and EVEN if there was. it could of been bad. never know. halo 2 flawed. halo 3 flawed. halo wars flawed. halo ODST MAJORLY FLAWED!!!. WTH MADE YOU THNK REACH WASNT GOING TO BE FLAWED!!!??? xD. all good games just not perfect. just like COD. all good games but not perfect. so all shut up and just play and enjoy the damn game for god sakes.

ugh...commendations aren't just the silver, gold, onyx, etc. variety. You get Cr for each medal you earn during a match. Firefight or otherwise. As far as I can tell, earning commendations only affects credits in Campaign mode. I played over 50 games of FF this week to get the weekly challenge. It helped me get several commendations. I still earn the same amount of Cr (give or take 100) each match.

So you're saying bungie wanted to see how quick people got to LT col 3 that quick just to get demoted back to recruit? -_- I only did the TL for at least 1 hour or 2, and for FF I didn't just do gruntpocalypse, I did lots of sniper attack and crashsite for commendations. and I did to MM just not as often, maybe 100 games.

ummm you my friend are a noob with no clue. THERES NO WIN BONUS. this has been addressed MANY TIMES. theres no reason to win, thus you have people in 4 on 4 afk ALOT. Bungie really droped the ball on the matchmaking,ranks, and leveling in reach.

The ranks were capped before they released the game, at which point they didnt realise the farming issue because they arent that obsessed with an aesthetic rank.

Who cares the Max rank in this game is at 20 MILLION credits. You won't get that in 3 years unless you have absolutely no life or you boost. Or if bungie possibly released a better way of getting cR, but as it sits it is either no life or boost cR somehow

Anyways, I think the consensus is as follows: You get the appropriate rank when the cap is lifted; cR is cR, whether you get it now or later; no matter how high your commendations are, you still get the same ammount (eg. I have 3 onyx and have always gotten 1100 cR). I'm kinda bummed to hear that GP is getting nerfed. I think everything else should have gotten a boost.

The real reason it wasn't finnished... It is finished, If you post the links to the leaks you get banned. the reason there is a rank cap, is to get everyone excited into the first month of the game... but keep them unaware that the highest rank is 20million credits. As If taking 4 days didn't bore some of us with ranking up on warrent officer 3, bungie decided that ranking up after the new ones, it'll be 1 rank every 2 weeks.... Talk about a boring ranking system. I mean, there just isn't enough unlocks/ranks. there isn't enough to have me coming back for more. as far as I'm concerned, Lt. Colonel grade 3 is the MAX level. as by the time bungie releases the new ones... more than 2/3s of the population will be over on the new games.

I don't know if that's [i]why[/i] the ranks aren't finished. But it definitely works in their favor and explains why they have taken such a leisurely stance on everything so far.
