Dr. Halsey's Journal. The "OFFICIAL" discussion thread.
Searched, couldn't find anywhere. So lets talk.
From the journal we can come to the conclusion that Miranda Keyes is the daughter of Dr. Halsey and Cpt. Keyes.
We also find lots of information on the Spartan project and the Mjolnir project.
I do have a few questions of my own.
What is the blue dna test that came in the diary, obviously it belongs to the Chief, but what can we learn from it? Other than the fact that the Chief has blood type "O positive"
What could have been on the torn out pages?

Dunno. I skimmed through a lot of it because it was boring as all hell, but it was a nice addition.

I just skimmed through it and read what I thought was the major stuff. Limited Edition was well worth the extra $20, though. I thought the book was going to be mostly pictures, and maybe only 20 pages long maximum, but it's a ligit journal with around 100 pages at least. Well worth it.

It is very interesting. I only have a small amount left to read. It doesn't take very long to read, but if you are interested in the Fiction, it will certainly grab your attention.

It's worth it if your a hardcore fan. But seriously, did anyone make sense of the extra stuff in the back sleeve. Yeah the new threat is what intrigued me the most. Was it the Ark? Something that Chief needs to deal with after 3? Pretty crazy I really hope all these loose ends are tied up soon between Onyx and the shield world Chief lands on. But anyway, amazing stuff =D

This is not the official thread, because Halsey's Journal is solely about Canon, which means it belongs in the Universe forum. Which, BTW, we've already discussed much of Halsey's Journal.

Yeah, we know. But don't you think having one thread to talk about this is a little more convenient than having tons of threads coming up with the same questions? I know that the word "official" holds no meaning when I use it. But hell, people are more likely to visit and read if they see it.

Yeah. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Dr. Halsey rip two pages out of her journal in one of the books, because they were the only important ones?

It's official because it's in caps.[/quote] I think the "New Threat" is either the Flood, or the Covenant depending on what time period the picture is from. It could be one of those massive glassing ships (Carriers I think) because it's described as way bigger than anything human in the area. At the same time, it could be something the Flood hijacked because it's referred to as a "new" threat, implying there is already a known threat, the Covenant.

Check the date, if there is one on the picture. The war started on February 11, 2525, so if it's after that we can assume it's something we haven't seen.
