step-7 (previously the why bungie will fall thread)
As many of you know bungie is releasing halo reach this fall(as far as i know).
I have a well thought out theory on why it will spell the doom of us all and make bungie the ruler of the world.
So bungie releases Reach some time in the fall. Many buy it and start playing. The electric synapses in the brain begin firing and processing the information from the television screen into coherent understandment. The problem begins here.
The amazing graphics sound and storyline overload the receptors for the brain, causing SEVERE headaces. As the brain begins to try and understand this information it slowly begins to overload as well. Eventually the synapses and the brain give up and promptly....explode. Thus causing the gamers head to explode(as well as anyone watching the gamer play).
Parents, Friends or spouses will find the happy yet exploded remains of those dear to them, but upon view of what they were doing their head will also asplode.
And so the cycle will continue.
Bungie will eventually discover the problem with their game, but it will be too late, as naturaly they will take an issue of the game home and play it. Thus asploding their head too.
Eventually bungie will be Able to take over the world with an army of unexploded bungie followers(created through both mind control and an well written message passed throughout the forums., because of a lack of resistance(any army would already be reduced to headless asploded dead bodies) bungie would simply be able to take what is rightfully theirs.
Bungie will then rule for 7 hundred years.
Then infinity ward shall inherit the earth(or at least whats left)
ALL BECAUSE YOUR GAME IS TOO AWESOME!!!!

Also, incorrect. I've read a few things on the storyline, and it sounds just as awesome as the multiplayer.

Or... This is Step 7. Maybe they want to kill off half of the population to make it easier to rule the world. They'll know about the asploding thing, so they just won't play. It all makes sense now...

uh, no one has created a game about the fall of reach before... or had elites or a epic story line also, the story line is plenty long, they have to keep somthing back to keep teasing us till fall.

Why is it that everyone seems to think that Halo: Reach is the greatest thing in gaming? It looks EXTREMELY average and i'm so sick of people saying "Z0MG DEWD! But once Gnop 2 is released, critics will throw perfect scores at it for having amazing gameplay and an amazing musical score (yes marty 'O Donnell will survive). And it will sell so much that everybody on Earth will sell their Modern Warfare 3 copies to buy Gnop 2. And with their Gnop 2 money, Bungie will buy the Earth from infinity ward, thus achieving world domination. Then Bungie will fire infinity ward into the sun with their giant slingshot. And thus Bungie would save humanity from infinity ward's rule.
