Hunting for BEAR

My eyes are privileged. Bristling heat surges through my veins in an instant. The rush startles me for a second, and I simultaneously refocus on what sent that spark through my body: a creature barreling through the brush. Barreling is the perfect word for the black Bear's movement, since it recklessly and noisily trampled every leaf and fallen branch in its path. Yet, among all its hastiness, beauty and grace is abundant. I realize that my body is frozen in open awe while inside, strangely, I am churning, thinking, pumping, admiring, loving. The hearty and confident steps command respect and natural authority. The black coat reflects serene softness and comfort. I chuckle to myself. I do not think many others associate "Grace" with such a noisy and powerful creature. Or even delve into critical analysis of a creature's appearance. Perhaps such a conclusion is only a result of my intense nature-loving perspective, but it seems more true to me than anything else on Earth. Its Beauty astounds my eyes. Its Grace envelops my mind. How could I touch such a glory of existence? This ecstasy is beyond what any drug can induce. I have opened myself to life's pure natural beauty. This creature has sent my blood steaming and my adrenaline streaming. My heart seems to beat a hundred times a second to contain the divine wonder my body is beholding and desperately trying to absorb. Yet somehow I am at peace. Every cell of my body throbs relentlessly but my mind is simplified. Every single neuron in my mind is basking in the pure serenity of the moment. No effort or energy is necessary. My mind is cleared of confusion, washed of concern, and altogether swayed by the beautiful, clean mist of love. Sadly, I find myself returning to the world as my serene state is fading away. I almost wish that I do not return My cheek is chilled by the cold metal of my rifle. My entire body is coated with sweat. Slowly, the world comes back to me. I am hunting in a wild forest. New York State. First time I have ever been hunting, actually. I have barely seen a sign of a living animal...ha. Suddenly I remember that great black Bear and its divine effect over me. Just the thought surges coveted warmth throughout my body. I frantically look through the rifle scope in anticipation. But what I seek has already disappeared.
