If you go to your [url=http://www.bungie.net/Account/Settings.aspx]account settings[/url], there will be a field labeled "Postal". As far as I'm aware, entering-in your postal code doesn't add any sort of personalization to the site. So, what's the point of having that field if I don't get anything in return for giving-out that information? And if it [i]is[/i] used in a way that's beneficial to me (or to Bungie. eg, if it's used for generating useful aggregate statistics or something like that), how is it used? My guess is that it's a remnant of the past, back from when Bungie.net / groups were primarily used for organizing LAN parties, and that kind of information might've been useful. Does anyone have some extra insight on this?
