I awoke to a violent bump in the ship's turbulance. I groggily dressed and headed to the bridge in case of an emergency. Sure enough, the pilots were frantically pressing buttons, as if their lives depended on it. There was also a commander barking orders to the stressed pilots I recognised the voice, it was none other than Viperchief, a well-built soldier about my age.
I took some time to ask Viperchief what was going on. "Those damn adrodicii didn't like their little glow-ball stolen. They have cut us off from the main fleet." he said, "so we're trying to make a retreat to the closest planet with a hospidible atmosphere." The ship rocked a little bit, seeming to be hit with enemy fire. "Dammit! get us out of here!" He shouted.
Halifax patiently listened while Fiurha told him about what happened to the ship and the artifact and said, "You have done well, my daughter, you wouldv'e made your mother proud." Fiurha gasped, Halifax never mentioned her mother, he always felt that he was responsible for her death. He had told Fiurha that she was killed by radicals when he, her mother, and she were taking a walk through the town. He told her that her mother had died defending her.
Fiurha started crying, remembering the lonliness of that day. "There, there, Fiurha," Halifax said warmly, "She died honorably, she died for you." Fiurha felt comfort in his words, she looked up at Halifax. He returned a smile and they embraced, for Halifax loved his daughter more than anything in the galaxy.
