I have had this problem for half a year, and I have researched all over the web to find an answer, but still no luck. Bungie's off topic forum would probably give me more answers than yahoo answers... So I ask you: Why is it that every time I start up Garry's Mod, it goes to the picture with the guy with the cone on his head (loading screen), then my computer gets the blue screen for a split second, and it reboots. I really want to play Garry's Mod!!!! If you need to know my computers specs ask and I will put them up.

Sounds more like a computer problem than a garry's mod problem.

But CounterStrike:Source works just fine.

The files might be corrupt.

Nope. I re-downloaded it 3 times.

send this dinosaur your computer and ill fix it with my dino brain

Then your computer can't run Garry's Mod, probably due to a crappy graphics card. Its not uncommon, I'm in the same boat. Counterstrike: Source is insanely old now and pretty much any relatively modern computer can run it.

So....solitare works on alot of computers but that doesn't mean those computers can handle other games. How did you get Garry's mod? Did you buy a hardcopy? Did you get it online via STEAM? If you got it online through STEAM you can complain to them about it not working and they may do something about it, but I still think it's a computer issue not a game issue.

The problem is your graphics card. It broke/got old/got dusty and wont play GMOD

Im running a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family, if that helps.
