Join the "don't join a clan" clan! (note the sarcasm)

I am no longer a part of my clan. I believe if you want to be a part of a clan, play with people with you know in your area! I know how good they are! People here just like cussing eachother out! No sign of skills here (if you do, I'm sorry) I think I'm good, and I know the people I play with are good. We can play together, so we know our strengths and weaknesses. If you want to join a chapter go ahead. But I'm warning you, everyone here is all talk and no walk! Some people are good here, but some just talk -blam!- and say they are good. For all you clans know, you could have gotten some of the worst players in the game! I know that I'm going solo, but I'm making my own with my community. So, Clan people, please stop your futile attempts to degrade eachother. As of now, the SS are beating the DR, but, remember, both people could have some of the worst people in their clan, so don't go saying whos better until you guys have actually played eachother. HELL! YOU GUYS DON'T EVEN KNOW EACHOTHER!

 • Well argued, By the way, Wra7h.... I think the reason that it grates so bad is that these kiddies are trying to start clans for Halo 2 over 5 months before its release...

 • Skill has little to do with clan matches I have been in several clans sometimes just joining up with people I barely know. A team that works toghther stands a great chance versus a team that has better individuals but doesn't communicate. The only thing you really need is dedicated players (read ready to listen and ready to get better) who listen and work well together under great leadership is all you need skill is just a bonus. I was once in a clan and we had very good players but when it came to gametime we knew our roles and we adapted and we were among the top clans in RtCW. Recruiting over the internet is a risk but the game isn't out yet. But saying your better doesn't do anything you got to prove it on the field I agree with you. Plus I play XBconnect nearly daily and Im gonna play with my clan members before November cause we all have xbconnect why do you think there recruiting now so they can get to know eachother! I play with locals and none of them can come close to me skillwise and we dont communicate well were casual gamers at lan parties and then when I go online it's a lot diffrent [Edited on 6/17/2004 10:13:47 PM]

 • Halo will be the main thing to practice on. Bungie itself that the game will be similar. As for all the new features, we can get ready for that then quicker. Besides, the comp version is much different then the xbox version. (through updates, they have changed the amount of dmg the guns do!) also to the fact that people on the comp use keyboards (except for the select few that know how to use an xbox controller for one)

 • You guys do realize that most of all clans that have been developed for PC games they were recruited online right? Now your point is very valid, I'm just pointing out that just cause a clan starts online doesn't mean it will be a failure. Also, this is a game NO ONE can practice on since it isn't out. Sure, the controls are the same, etc. But the gameplay isn't old strategies will be dropped in favor of newer ones to combat new vehicles, weapons, maps, etc. So... your point as well as online recruiting both has it pros and cons. • Lifeforce you are so right. I am trying to find a clan that is near my residence so that I can practice. There is no way you can beat a team that has played together every day for 3-4 years. They can practically read each others minds. Just like a good special ops. team. Peace.

 • ya, I know. I know that I'm a decent player (you guys can believe or not) but I'm making my own, with the people I know! There's some good reasons why! * You know how good the person is : Come on people, do you guys honestly believe that people are telling the truth about "how good they are." They might have had a lucky day and kill 5 people in a row. The next thing you know, they're talking about how they single handidly killed an entire team and stole the flag! Or they might just truly suck, and want to be apart of a great clan, so what do they do... lie! All this place is talk, no walk (if you can, I truly apologize. Everyone else know's what I'm talking about...) * You can actually practice with your team! : If you only know someone through online, you can't exactly "work" with them unless you're close by to him. (if you play XBL with that person great, but just 'cuz they're kicking ass in CS or R63, doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be great at Halo2. * Easier to strategies : This is a biggie. It is hard to get people to listen to your tactics. What makes you think they'll listen to someone they really don't know? If I make a clan, It will be with my friends, were I can discuss tactics. * Knowing your teams tactics : You don't know your teams best strategies! I can actually see what my teams good at. (all of them are good at everything, since we've been playing for, what, 3-4 years now!?) People who know their clan only through online is doomed to disaster the first couple of weeks. The people who actually suck at the game will be positioned in the places they said they were good at. Guess what happens... * I know these people! : it is much more fun actually knowing who you're playing with. If any of you have XBL, you know what I mean. Who would you rather play with, a person you met on XBL, or someone you know at school or work? Catch my drift? * How others think about your clan : The only way people determine "who has the best clan" is by how "pretty" they're site looks! Now that is WaCk! Come one people, if the person is spending that much time on his precious website, is he playing Halo? don't think so. Ahh... I feel much better.

 • Thank You!!! ThankYouThankYou THANK YOU!!! My god a normal person with a voice of SANITY! I haven't left my Clan ( I can't - I started it!) BUT Everyone in it I know personally, have played with/against, and NONE of them are Internet recruits. 1 is an XBC recruit but he only lives 9 miles away in Tampa, and we met him as well.
