I can beat this whole game with 3 weapons.

Pistol, Plasma Pistol, Shotgun. Game done in one afternoon on normal. Doesn't that bother people?

 •
Posted by: Sliding Ghost
Posted by: Dark Hunter 2100 Hey Ghost, I'm back with 2 extra zeros to my name. Because 0's are cool?
Hmm... there's another reason isn't there?
Posted by: Dark Hunter 2100 -Yeah, its really too bad nothing can be done with them.
Yes.
Posted by: Dark Hunter 2100 - Recent studies show Halo Reach marines are flood in disguise, no?
The willingness to fire up close also extends to the Covenant. I've seen a Brute captain fire his concussion rifle when a Grunt was in the way. Harsh... And an Elite general spam his fuel rod gun even hitting himself by accident a couple of times. It's really annoying to see them not being punished for that (taking full damage) whereas I throw a grenade when my shield's barely damaged and die. Also, I really do miss it when enemies could damage their allies. Collateral damage. It was pretty funny to see in CE Hunters send Grunts flying around. Instead, we get stupid Brutes meleeing plasma batteries and sticking each other. That's not funny. It's just sad.
Posted by: Dark Hunter 2100 -Hog physics rarely came into play. Pure unawareness did on part of the universal driving AI.
Yeah I noticed that yesterday & today. I played nearly all Reach missions on Legendary. I raged at least 45 times. When it came to Exodus, it was torture having to use the same tactic all the time. Then I screwed up and had to start all over again. 50 minutes in vain! So I modded. With ONI Sword Base, as soon as I entered the vehicle section, again, modding. I used to mod in H3 but only because I wanted to get the setup done faster. I could find all sorts of strategies to make most parts a breeze. Such as: -getting assassinations on all of the Brutes in the Crow's Nest bomb room -getting assassinations on all of the Brutes in the third tower Noob combo was put away most of the time. But in Reach, it's all I can use (actually, I don't even have to use the overcharged bolt since the standard bolts are powerful) alongside hologram, needle rifle, needler (on Brutes), power weapons, Noble Team, etc.
Posted by: Dark Hunter 2100 - I did it on legendary. One time, and there was dieing and reverting to last save-ing. Much of it. I found enough bottle necks in each section to block with whatever I could find. Some sections-like the Hunter encounter, took some creativity. I relished every moment Elites and Brutes had to fight, so I didn't have to. I stocked my marines Beam Rifles (Beam rifle spam is surprisingly effective in a pinch) and carbines. I remember I was about to hit a checkpoint and a marine simply hurled himself off a platform. There was no rhyme or reason to it. He just did, and I knew I had to start back to the last point. There was much rage-quitting.
Yeah it is a pain to babysit marines. I see. Yep those are valuable times, in-fighting. If they were in Reach, oh boy, everyone would be focused on the player. With or without Angry skull? Was it at the part with the grav lift transportation or the hanging gardens? I've noticed bad pathfinding at those parts. If you got them to the end of the level, how did the battle go?
-...Possibly. -Yep -Yah, AI no longer care about each other or even themselves now. A once saw a skirmisher skillfully ricochet an NR round into his own face. He must have realized he was in Halo Reach. -I think Bungie tried to make driving more adaptive than scripted. Good concept, but poor execution. I wish they would have just stuck with purely scripted driving, so I can go crazy with the Guass again. -Yep. -I can only imagine that in Reach..."Quick, everyone stop, lets all be friends for about 10 minutes to kill this unsuspecting player in mass!" -Angry skull was off at the time. I did make a few attempts with it, but the marines weren't "that" much help offensively. I gave them beam rifles for anything that stuck around me. -Grav lift areas. Marines often decided to split up, and that took time and they often died. Sometimes they would even do an evade animation that took them straight off the platform. The one marine went out of his way to simply run off the platform. -It was pretty cool, and worth saving the marines.
