The Overwatch/Underwatch District & the Twilight Gap

So this is something that's been on my mind for a bit. Back before the game came out I remember hearing something about what was to be called the "Overwatch District" in the Tower. If memory serves correct it was supposed to be a social hub where Guardians could get to know each other (maybe to collaborate on raid/strike teams, leaderboards, team request forums etc.).Obviously we don't have this in the version of the game we're playing today. The reason I'm posting about this isn't to complain about it's abscence, however, but to do what I know we all like to do around here:speculate what it would have been/what it will be. I'll start off the conversation. Besides the aforementioned features above, we also know that this area was supposed to overlook, or..."Overwatch" (clever) an area known as the "Twilight Gap". We know nothing about this place, other than it apparently "represents a big chunk of mankind's history" (Destinypedia). Now in light of recent events it's reasonable to believe this portion of the game may have been scrapped (as we all know well by now of the conspiracy that this game was severly stripped of content pre launch) but I would be one to believe that we can still have hopes of seeing this come to light down the road. The Twilight Gap really interests me, what do you all think it could be? Better yet, have you any info on what this "big chunk on mankind's history" is? Please leave your thoughts below. I'll leave you with these two things. One guess as to where this District in the Tower may be implemented later on down the road? Go down to where the Speaker is. As you come down the ramp and before you turn left to his chambers turn right and you'll see this massive door almost leading to another section of the Tower. In fact if you notice on the map of the Tower, that area is largely greyed out, even though it looks like something should be there! Just a guess really. Also, earlier today I was playing, and I SWEAR I heard over the intercom something about the "Underwatch District". Now I'm really scrappin the bottom of the barrel for this one as I could have easily misheard the game audio (I was wearing headphones at the time) and I really only bring this up to see what you all possibly think it could be/if you've heard this too? I post all of this with high hopes that we see Bungie come full circle with its vision for Destiny, and in anxious anticipation for what's to come next. For now, I only hope to keep us continuing to talk about what interesting things may wait around the corner. And so, the floor is open. Let me know what ya think!
