Zero Hour Instant Death During Boss Fight

Hello, so I have encountered this bug multiple times, both on solo runs and with a friend. During the fight, I believe mostly when the Brig shows up, I would end up instantly dying with considerable health. While I would be under fire from snipers, the boss and other enemies, nothing would be hitting hard enough to deliver enough damage for instant death like that, especially in moments behind cover after the brig finished its barrages. I'm guessing this bug is only affecting a fraction of the player base, as my friend did not experience this in a meaningful way, at least not to the degree it was obvious. Hopefully this can be resolved soon, along with the other bugs impacting this mission.

  • I had the same experience specifically at the boss when the brig shows up. Ruin my solo flawless run... Before. I thought I was dying to random traps that spawned in, but like you I was in the back big open area. Full health, then bam, dead. I assume it's a visually bug, dying to artillery that doesn't visually load in.

    • This has been happening to me as well. I think it has something to do with all the Brigs Barrages not being displayed properly. What I took from this is if I see them, I haul -blam!- to the other side to make sure I am very far away. Try this and tell me if it helped.

      I noticed this. I think it may be part of the issue with how bungo handle AOE in that it is not blocked by obstacles/cover but procs just based on the surface it hits. The old PVP trick to show this was shoot a rocket into a wall someone is behind and they are fine but shoot it at the floor just in front of the wall and the AOE procs on the surface and so passes through the wall and kills them. I think something similar happens the brig sometimes fires it's rocket barrage outside the play area so you don't see any of the warning indicators/red beams but when the rockets land even though they are the other side of walls and outside the play area the AOE still takes you out.
