You can start a sentence with "and". It's just very rare that it'll make sense -- This particular sentence did. But can also start a sentence. Furthermore, the semi-colon was also appropriate in the way it was used. A semi-colon is used to divide two sentences or phases with the same substance into one. You can replace a semi-colon with the word 'and' to help check for correctness.
Also, he was not insulting sentence fluency, which you obviously took into offence. You use commas' in the wrong places, apostrophes where there should be quotations, i where there should be I, and blind ignorance where there should be common sense. Let me give you a pointer kid, go back to sixth grade.

Yes, less kids. And how old are you, "Turboman?" Judging by your grammar and spelling, you haven't taken junior high English, so I'd put you at 12 years old.
Anyway, I find that it's the people with 360s (yeah, I'm one of them) that are jerks. They tend to be most spoiled of all. This is Microsoft's doing, as they want people to buy 360s. And I don't blame them; I'd do the same thing. But honestly, this won't improve the quality of people you are matched against.
WOW, i spell secretive with an A and your saying im 12? I will give you some pointers, A sentence does not begin with 'and'. Also do you even know the purpose of ';' or did you just use it to sound smart? You do not use 'but' at the begining of a sentence. In conclusion i put you around 10.
Oh i did not go to 'junior high' that is for yanks.
