Do you have to download the new maps to play halo 2 on live? I didnt see aynthing about it in the annoucemnet and was just wondering.

I was wondering that, too. Mayhap when the 360-only maps are released, either they will not be available for MatchMaking, or Bungie will have to initiate a seperate Live system for 360 users.

This actually wouldn't surprise me.

* The maps are exclusive to the 360
* Us xbox classic users are getting shafted
* There more than likely will be a preview playlist for 360 owners.
* Next spring is when they come out
* Price is yet to be decided even though it will be done with 360 points.

Also hon...like I said before in another thread...I'm hoping against hope that the new maps will be available on disk (for a price, of course) so that XBox classic users can download them and not get left out. That seems like the only logical way out of this mess. They wouldn't release new Halo 2 maps for a game that was made exclusively for the Classic and not allow the Classic users to have them, would they? That would just be retarded. I would hope that MS would have a LITTLE more sense than that. Okay okay...I hear you...but I'm still crossing my fingers :)

This is making alot of sense now.

The thinning out of the playlists, to be brought back in the spring. With some changes.

The release of new maps in the spring. To be played on the new playlists. That only 360 owners can use.

This will force people to buy a 360. I planned on it. But they better fix the issues first.

Thank god I already have a 360, but I still feel bad for all you classic xbox gamers. Microsoft sucks!
